I'm becoming a regular customer here..

Well, I had to get a new mouse because my old one gave up on me (well, the right mouse button did, so did the scrollwheel) - so I went to Walmart, employer of children around the world, and bought a standard 4 button Logitech mouse.

Plug & Play. So I thought.

Now the problem is a herky jerky/life of its own mousepointer.
It sometimes jumps from one corner of the screen to another.
If I don't even touch the mouse it sometimes starts moving.

What the crap?

It's plugged in properly, yes.
The sensor majig is clear of fuzz and whatnot.
It works on two other computers.
I suck at building my own machines -> see my other problem with the PSU.

So help me, ye gods of hard- and software. ;)
Thanks in advance.

Might be the surface you use the mouse on, if the resolution of the "eye" in the mouse isnt high enough it can sometimes go schitzo on a wooden surface and sometime barely work on surfaces like plain white paper. I found the best surface for old skool optical mice is card - the kind of card you get on your birthday, but use the matte side and obviously get a nice big A4 size lump of it.

If its still jerky and jumpy then im afraid its because its probably just a piece of crap. It probably only cost you 15 bux eh? It might be fucked, though so you could try returning it to walmart, i dunno.

Garrr... faulty PS2 adapter. Running it USB now - it works. Case closed.

And again I realize that I suck at the internet. *sighs*
