You could say the doctors signed your release early too as you even consider liking a member of Hear'Say :eek6:

I saw Harry Potter - but that was because it was free. The child acting was poor

Jurassic Park ruled (esp. for its time, the latest ones were definately not as good), Independance Day wasn't bad, Titanic was a chickflick.

Which is why it did so well. Stupid teenage girls that fell in love with the ladyboy DiCaprio went to see it about 10 fucking times, so its profits went through the roof.
Titanic was a pile of shit despite a decent theme and a good sinking ship sequence.

Independance Gay was entertaining but still a by the numbers action no brainer. President gets in a jet fighter and America saves the fucking day. Yeah, right.
Harry Potter showed promise but was let down by a wooden lead and having enormous chunks of the book either glossed over or completely ignored.

Lord of the Rings is the best film I have seen in my life.

End of story.

Lord of the Rings was shite, what was good about it? People are already hailing it as the best movie ever. It doesn't add anything new whatsoever.

Robbie Coltrane was brilliant in Harry Potter, and it's good only for that reason

I think LOTR was a truly excellent film, and I promise you I am very difficult to please on that subject.

Just goes to prove that popularity does not mean a film is any good.

There's not one of those films I'd willingly see again. Even for free.

I would be interested to see a top 5 which is relative to how many people have actually seen it. I bet not 1 of those films are in it. Yes they have taken the most money at the box office but I bet my bottom dollar they have not been watched as much as Star Wars or ET for example.

At the cinema?

Well like I said earlier, I think the figures are taking the likes of inflation etc into account. ET etc would be in the top 10 though.

Don't forget, there's more people going to the cinema now than there were 20 years ago :p

dont mind the french as long as they:
a) dont bother me
b) dont come near me
c) dont talk
d) the women shave under there arms
e) dont bother me (know i said it but is still true)
;)

FFS LotR is over-hyped and rated. And for some reason everyone started clapping at the end of it.

It wasn't hyped much at all before release, a few trailers were released, there was a website, a few TV spots, but that was about it. And maybe the people clapped because they enjoyed it perchance?

:)

It was probably the most hyped movie of 2001.
