I am with Nobrot on this one.

Kids are dying, some of the missing soldiers are barely adults... the iraqis have nothing to drink in many places...

not much to laugh about.

I agree, but you sometimes to have to make light of some situations to be able to face them better else you would be crushed under the gravity of the situation.

The way i read the post was that it was merely making fun out of the media and the information which is coming out of Iraq and not the actuall war itself. Joking about the war itself I agree is in bad taste but I dont think that it was his point.

Precisely Fex.
There is nothing funny about the events happening on the ground in Iraq. But the behaviour and rhetoric of the generals and some of the ludicrous reporting and propaganda are ripe for parody.

I met a guy once who was in the TA and went on manouvres with regular army. He was telling me about the game they were playing called pinhead. The squaddies would take it in turns sticking cocktail sticks in their head until everyone gave up bar the last person. The one with the most sticks in his head was the winner:)

Kinda funny

Is it me or does George Bush always look like he's trying to suppress the giggles when he talks about the war.

<the forces of Midgard have started to come down with the flu from all that bloody snow>

<the forces of Hibernia are having nothing to do with either of them, and have decided to retire to form a Hippy community in some far off land, making daisy chains, eating tofu, singing songs of peace and love, being all lovey dovey, and walking around naked talking about the morning dew and how beautiful the flowers are, and how much they love clouds and bunnies and leaves and badgers and monkeys and chewing gum and Bob Dylan and cheese sticks and bare feet and juniper berries and other peoples bare feet and clover and peaches and washing lines and... hang on, i just realised, even though i am just a Realm Messaging system i stopped caring about the hippies quite some time back in this message, but i thought id let you know anyway, seeing as you love the sound of my voice so much, you foxy, sexy little player you... who's ya daddy?, tell me baby, call me ralph... yeah! call me donny... don't make me get loose on you boy... c'mon, you'd rather spend time with me than your girlfriend or your real mates... yeah, thats it bitch, touch me... yeah!>

Yes, I have. I know two people who are currently in Iraq. I did my GCSE's with them both. They are both about the same age as me, and I'm 17 on Sunday.

So no, to but it bluntly, I don't find much to do with the war funny.

Saw some wiz on alb/pryd has decided to call himself Iraq  is fairly lowbie so most likely created after the war has started.

Reminds me of my old Counter-Strike days when all the fucktards renamed themselves to Osama Bin Laden after the Twin Towers incident.

Some people s00k.

i remember those counterstrike days.. endless abuse by everyone to the f00ls named osama until an admin kicked em... must say though we had much fun shooting the crap out of em !

as to the war, my brothers in the army, thankfully he's not been posted to Iraq yet as he does the training for new recruits {he's the on that shouts at them alot}.

The war is something that needed doing, through the courage of our and other countries armed forces it will be over soon. dont take the piss out of them.. its VERY bad manners... ohh and it pisses me off !
