actually this happened before christmas, there were loads of empty seats on the bus and this lad got on with all his christmas shopping and sat in a front seat to store his shopping, this old crumbley bitch got on and started yelling and mithering him to move because that seat was specifically for old crumblies, i said to her why didnt she sit in the seat behind and she was like "i demand this one!!"

so when i got off i told her she was a very rude old woman lol

Haha I love people on the bus like this, it makes my day so much more enjoyable :D

Kudos on the telling her she's rude.

The thing about "everything is unselfish" which i forgot to point out, is that even a good feeling is a reward. And as such, it's selfish. I know i know, it's not like THAT, but still.

It's like giving gifts, one does it to cheer someone up, be nice, etc, but there's still that feeling you get. So in everything, there's some reward for self too.
Yes, but I don't do those things because I feel good. Feeling good may be a side-effect (although I must say I don't really feel a difference in my mood when i hold a door open for someone), but it's not the reason why I do it. I feel that what matters in affairs of selfishness/altruism is the motivation.
