It's my birthday this month and i'll prolly get about £300 to spend, looking to buy a new monitor.

I had my eyes on http://europe.hercules.com/showpage.php?p=92&b=0&f=1 for a while, but I can't seem to find it in any of the online shops :(

I want a 17" one really, thats ample for me I think, it's also for gaming so need low responce time :)

Any suggestions? :)

(also whats the difference between tft and lcd?)

LCD - liquid crystal display (The display type itself)
TFT - Thin Film Transistor (The transistor used to drive each individual pixel in an LCD display)

One features within the other. They are not two separate display types.

Got the Hyundai one myself a couple of months ago and I love it. It uses the same panel as the Hercules one, and I have had no problems with it at all. I haven't noticed any ghosting in games, and it's so much easier on the eyes than a CRT.

I can't reccomend it highly enough.
