Since I'm making money now, I thought I'd get a new monitor.

Inb4 @Scouse goes on about TV m8 TV m8 and @ECA tells me to get a 4k monitor for every wall of my house, I decided not to go down either route, apparently you need quite a good spec PC (I have a 770 GTX graphics card) which apparently wouldn't be ideal for a 4k monitor, so I thought if I'm going to get a 4k monitor, I'd do it when I have proper money rolling in the future.

I was thinking of something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-UltraSharp-U2414H-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B00H3JIGHA

Unless people can offer better suggestions?

But seriously, yeah the Dell monitors are pretty good. I have a couple of 23inch (I think they are, maybe 24) Samsung monitors that I am very happy with.

Hey my new TV is a 60" 1080p jobber :p

Seeing as how I can see your steam profile and you mostly play CSGO/dota2, your 770 would easssily get 60fps+ @4k.
My 970 gets 200fps @4k in csgo, and like 300fps+ in lol @4k. I don't do the dota but performance wise, again - you wouldn't have an issue there.

The argument against 4k is for stuff like witcher 3, where I get like 45fps with hairworks off @4k, but amazingly you can just... turn the res down to like 1440p and get 60fps! magic.

THAT SAID.

If you mainly want to play csgo/dodo, I'd say get a 144hz panel instead.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-G2460FQ-Widescreen-Multimedia-1920x1080/dp/B00JLAXLLA/

This is the previous to current model AOC 144hz for £170.
The newer one has a usb 3 hub and gsync on it ( which is stupid cuz gsync basically is to remove tearing at low fps ) but other than that is the same panel and is £300+

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-GN246HLBid-inch-Monitor-EcoDisplay/dp/B00IG0Z0HY/

Acer 144hz for £190

etc.

I'd value 144hz for csgo over 4k for other stuff, if I was making a monitor purchase right now ( actually I'm tempted to get one anyway ) ... soooo yeah.
