Monitor Destruction

My old faithful monitor had a 'click of death'. Poor thing. So now I'm looking for a fitting, and entertaining, way of destroying it.

My current plan is to hurl it from a window (rock and roll e.t.c.), but if anyone has any other novel, and preferably safe(ish), suggestions, I'm all ears!

Its probably just the power supply. Why destroy it, when it could be repaired? If you don't want it anymore, I'm sure the local charity shop would have it.

Get a reaaaaallllly big extension lead, connect it to the power supply, THEN throw it off something large.

could do a "fight club" style thing on it drill the top hole and fill it with petrol then put a big fuse and light it and run lol ive always wanted to do that.....

wear your night clothes, mess yer hair up, grab the pwr cord and drag it (while talking toyour self very loud) to a very public place full of people, then go mental and sream the devil is inside you monitor and procced to sledg hammer it to death.

that sounds like an incradably stupid ida to me, monitors are basicall massive capasators and if you touch the wrong bit inside you'll get a gazzillion volts up your arse

yes, but asking for ideas to destroy a monitor is'n the brightest of ideas in the first place now is it?

here is my idea:

place the monitor in a nice vantage point to curry maximum attention while you sacrifice a collection of virgins and goats with a hammer. after bathing in their collected blood, take said hammer and smash the monitor's screen. hopefully a large enough piece of glass will remain for you to cut out your own heart while crying out to Cthulhu to awake from his slumber. that should do it.
if for some reason only very small pieces of glass survive your hammer's impact try to remember to swallow as many as you can before the paramedics and police can reach you. this may seem a rather roundabout scheme to get the old one to rise, but I'm more or less sure that it's not been done before. if it doesn't work try virgin-goats, or goat virgins, whichever you can come by easiest.

ummm wrong, monitors are nothing like capacitors. Its like comparing a battery to a painting.
