No for me, Sharon wants to replace her really shite 17" TFT 4:3 monitor with something better. It's not the resolution or the monitor size that is the real issue, but it really is a horrible picture. Almost all monitors are widescreen now though.
She doesn't want anything too big, certainly nothing like my Dell 24", but the vertical resolution of a lot of the smaller widescreen monitors concerns me. My lappy has a 1280x768 screen and doing anything semi serious on it (Word Photoshop etc) can be frustrating.
1680x1050 would be great, but we'd need to go to a 22" monitor for that, how big would it look compared to my Dell?
The next resolution down is 1440/1600x900. Do any of you lot use these resolutions? Do you feel the relative lack of vertical resolution compared to the old 1280x1024 screens? Does the much greater horizontal pixel count make up for it?
Any recommendations? She has about £150 to spend so should be able to get something pretty good.
Many thanks and Happy New Year
