30 mins after ordering Barclays' fraud department called me asking if my card had been stolen. I consider this a bad omen.

hehe, be glad you could order :) I had to ring up my bank a while back to get them to whitelist a certain hardware supplier so I could order online. Still, better to be safe than sorry :)

Kind Regards

Strangely enough the exact same thing happened to me too.

And I am still waiting for the bits from Overclockers, though their phone service has been very good. Apparently there has been a little bit of bad weather somewhere? (looks out of window at sunshine *shrugs*) Amtrack have promised it today.

Had a feeling Amtrak might cause problems so made sure that special delivery option was available from my OcUK parts.Had similar experiences with Citylink, the idea of spending the next 2 weeks indoors on the offchance that they might figure out how my doorbell works (it's one of those keypad code jobbys) really isn't appealing.

I think it was Gumbo that was waiting for a parcel from Amtrak for a long time and visited the depot to find out that it had totally shut down. Scary stuf, so hope yours arrives ok RB.

Thats a very good Omen, it shows they are doing their job. Could you imagine someone ordering lots of stuff online with your card details, and your bank not checking it.

Oh FFS,

you were right to worry Cask :(

More shit from Amtrak, and now it might come today, tomorrow or Monday!

I was off all this week to sort this thing out, not next week.

At least Overclockers refunded my shipping costs.

And here was me thinking that Citylink were the shite ones and the other couriers were OK. Why doesn't everyone just use Royal Mail/Parcel Force? Never had any problems with either.

Sorry for the arseyness, I seem to get a bit defensive after dumping a wad of money on non-essentials.

Missed the Parcelforce delivery this morning while I was in the shower so will hopefully get it tomorrow. Are you up and running yet RB?

UP and running? God no, the delivery finally arrived Monday at 5PM just 7 days after it left OCUK, not their fault, I blame Amtrak all the way, as teh poor delivery guy will attest to. Especially as he was an independent "One day only, never again mate. Not worth the hassle" I apologised :(

Anyway, I'm now sitting looking at a whole load of shiny sexy new parts wondering if I have done the right thing :p

I'm off on Friday, and I need a good day to do it I think, so I'll leave it till then.

Harsh. Wonder if Parcelforce is a better company to work for because the guy that delivers to me is always smiling which is nice.

Got mine all set up now without many problems. Have to say that I'm a little dissapointed with the Tsunami. Not sure if I just got a dodgy version but the face plate is really weakly stuck on so that opening the drive door pulls the face plate off with it half the time. Also it's a lot smaller than I expected so it's jam packed in there with 3 HDs, glad I didn't have any more to fit. On the bright side they sent me the windowed version which I didn't expect, not that I'm too fussed about windows but it looks nice.

Other than that everything has been fine and am now confident that the money was well spent. Have to try some games now.

BIOS and nTune are reporting my CPU temps to be 24°C idle and 28°C under full load on that Prime95 test. Can't be right can it? If it is then that Arctic Freezer must be an awesome cooler considering that my applcation of thermal paste looked like it had been squirted on by a male pornstar.
