Getting this error from Quakenet when I try to connet:

AUTO: You are infected with a trojan, please clean your PC. (ID: dc44cb4d)

I've had no problems connecting at all up until tonight, and I've not downloaded or installed anything that would allow a trojan into my system, even so I ran an AVG scan and its come up clean.

What is it that makes mIRC suddenly think I've got a 'trojan' on my system?

PS: Also noticed this thread where Kryt recommends a few things I'd already done :( any help anyone?

QuakeNet Forums: QuakeNet/IRC User Support => AUTO: You are infected with a trojan, please run anti-virus software. (ID: 128ab954).

Oops, fixed it

I rechecked my username and noticed the "alternative" was kicking in because my first choice wasn't available, the alternative had an '^' after the name. After taking that out on the offchance it seems to connect ok.

Cheers Kryt!

heh, you're welcome ;)

Wouldn't have just been the ^ caused it, plenty of people have that in their nicks. Likely a certain combination triggered something :|
