Anyway, if you want a char to muck about with I don't think there's a better choice than the Reaver in any realm. Fun to play, kicks the shit out of anything 1v1.


If you want a char for group RvR a Merc is much, much easier and more forgiving to play.

ranger/hunters are the easist 1v1 for a reaver and tbh i put odds on of reaver still winning against 2 rangers.
u block 90% of their shots slam em then kill em in 3 levi's
move onto next 1

merc > reaver in rvr grp imo, sure reaver is great class, they do nice dmg, can interupt casters easy, and got abs debuff ,

but merc got pf and det, and also do pretty much same dmg as reaver,

2 mercs and 1 reaver in grp can work pretty ok tho imo=)
but 3 mercs is prolly better.

well reavers replaced merc in the best 2 person pve farming grp

its now paladin/reaver, me and a 50 pala managed to dual 2 purps, 8 reds and 3 oranges at once in dartmoor without buffs and ending at over 3/4 hp ^_^

also reavers beat mercs in duels 80%, and are capable of better assisting damage as u stick to the enemy spaming levi with anytime backup. Only real disadvantage is merc is a tank and reavers arent

Well from being hit by Tilda and Konah in rvr i know which one does the most dmg, Konah by far.

But then thats probley because Tilda doesnt normally land styles and hits for 80 odd unstyled, but Det>>>>>>>>>>>>All in RVR good demezzer or not.


Its just a mess about class not an rvr class

yeah, huge problems that the 3 healers and the shaman or the 3 savages cant deal with.


against mid/hib gank-squads that group is fodder, ffs against me&meekur that group is fodder.

tbh Reaver > Merc if your in a group with a minstrel that has at least half a clue.

oh and ofc reavers 180-200 dex (depending on race) with aug dex 2 which they all have and large shields more than makes up for less hp than merc seeing as they block more than palies with 50 shield etc

the average reaver spec is 50 flex 42 shield 36 soulrend and 16 parry, good all round spec, soulrending after 36 doesnt give worthwhile improvements realy

merc does good dmg, front, side or rear, resist buffs or no resist buffs, baod or no baod.

reavers are the best defensive class in he game, imo, due to the fact they can guard, slam and levi at the same time, kicking shit outta any attacker on you. whyp did it for me many times with my sorc /kiss
