If it was, wouldn't you and I also have to be in a conspiracy? My thinking is this:

Toth silences Scouse first night - Scouse stays quiet - Toth dies and is normal - Therefore Toth and Scouse probably aren't in cahoots. Toth could silence.

You are silenced first night - we assume that Toth did silence Scouse since they weren't together - I can silence.

I guess this only proves it to you, as for all anyone else knows WE are in cahoots. But it's a start.

I couldn't lock Toht up because I locked him up the night before. I actually had the beginnings of an elaborate plan where we vote to lynch him but I save him with a jail term...as it turned out I screwed up and thought the cool down had ended. The idea was that if I voted to lynch him first I would see how people follow and for what reasons, coupled with the fact he was backtracking a little here and there. Several people were eager to lynch him but I don't think that was because I suggested we lynch him but from general suspicions of his character.

Anyway, he be dead now so meh.

I think I will sit on my porch for the rest of the day and watch the world go by <I am probably going to be away most of tomorrow in the pub/entertaining guests but will try and get on at some point to see whats going on>

Well it's going to be interesting to see if anyone other than Olga is silenced, although I suppose anyone not wanting to draw attention to themselves could stay quiet in the hope of avoiding a lynching!

My angle was if they were bad, one would be dead and the other couldn't do anything that night

After Tohs death though the role of the silencer maybe is designed to stop who ever if the head of the bad guys from giving orders?

Well we only have one outed silencer now don't we? So depending on whether two people recover from silence tomorrow and what they have to say about it we can (sort of) decide if anyone else can do it.

Or whether the silence ability is somehow linked to the main baddy illness/condition/club etc which was the angle I was looking at.

Yes, he has diseases, but no, there's no vet in this town, so I have to go to the next time, but every time I raise money to take Shabsters to the next town, I wake up without the money, and a pile of your hash brownies

I'd throw him a bone, but you'll have to throw him some fairy cakes instead. I'm pretty sure a stoned dog won't react too well to the green cookies and I don't fancy a monged out rabid dog running about. Don't be feeding him any of my chocolate muffins - dogs don't react well to brown stuff.

You should raise the cash and get @Raven to lock you up btw. That way you'll wake up with the cash, having had a nice safe night's sleep

Because on my rounds I get to tell whether people are where they're supposed to be. Someone going for a walk in the middle of the night is generally doing something. They don't just "go for a walk".

For example, I checked up on TdC, and not being a professional with a job - like Doctor or Innocent Dentist, or Midnight Baker, he doesn't perform house calls and isn't partial to strolls at 3 in the ayem.

I checked up on you too @Gwadien. You were exactly where you should have been. In your tramp hole. You're welcome to the bread products - I think of it as care in the community. Can't have people starving.

And yet, after checking up on both you and @TdC, you're both still fine. Or you were when I checked on you. I don't know what's happened in the subsequent nights but you were left high-quality comestibles - and even commented on them:

Yet Ch3t. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. No profession, so he's not making house calls on ill people, and he's certainly not performing unnecessary dentistry, just "out for a walk".
