lvl 49 bg fg fights!

anybody else then me thats intrested in this? the BG looks almost exactly as old emain

max lvl 49, 4L9 and ml5(?) which means:
- no banespike
- no lvl 50 lifetap
- no "uber" RAs
- no zephyr or phaseshift
- no ml9 pets

IMO this seems like the r0x, but if it gets popular it will be like a CS deathmatch with /rpoff when u ding 4L9

SM pets will still intercept, and their spec LT is at level 47-48 something. Their RR5 sux, so SM will be almost as anoying as they are today (-ML9)..

You sir seams to have missed the point. Old Emain symbolizes a place where everyone went to RvR. It's not cuz' the milegates were great or the landscape were excepsional, it was cuz' it was a small place everyone went to and you were promised action. If NF was as small as OF and ppl didn't have to run around and take boats for 30 min without seeing a soul I strongly doubt we would have the same whine about OF.

You think OF is better and have your reasons, i think NF is better and i have my reasons . I would time a boat ride though and i would be suprised if it took 30 mins, might be wrong, but it never seemed that long to me.

Yeah you cant judge by the test server, they also allow lvl 50 in there right now, simply to get enough people to test it at all...

Id go, if i had a grp, and grps to fight against could be awesome fun imo, RR cap so people dont get RP horny and add 24/7, and you can run all kinds of setup without it being too overpowered(see no demoralize+banespike,ml9+brittles)..

Sounds like rly good fun, now just givf some way to demote ur current chars to lvl 49 , rr4L9 and ml5

it will be just like any other bg full of people using it as a stop gap between levels, not the utopia that some think, if you think it will be the place to get add free good 8v8 you are deluded. if you want "classic" boring daoc with limited abilties and old emain go and play on free shards

You clearly didn't understand what I said. I said that the OF emain zone was not just good cuz' of the landscape, the reason it was good and many long for it was cuz' pretty much everyone went there for RvR. It was a such a small zone it was always action there. That's what ppl miss, action. Guess why so many love IRvR? The same principle, a small zone where pretty much everyone goes to play RvR.

And about the boat trip should take 30 min? Well read my post a little more careful and think about it again.. Cuz' that's not what I said. :>

What really makes me sad is that DAoC is becomming more Instance based Never liked the instances that came with cata, goodbye social xp groups...

I do admit NF is rough but this is just the final stretch that will prevent anyone below 50 / RR5 to even bother to venture out in the frontiers, one of the things I enjoyed about this game in the early days

my question is, artis has no "lvl requirements" when you delve them (the use/proc etc) - so will lvl 49 be able to use example, malice or battler?

it has nothing to do with that....its so lvl 45-49 can have rvr vs people of the same lvl/rr as them without getting farmed in normal rvr.
