no decent rvr = no game tbh
play daoc!![]()
You can`t really come to any conclusions after playing to level 7 in a game that goes up to level 50.
... i actually played for 7 hours saturday which is about 6 hours longer in 1 day than any other mmorpg has held my attention.

Well, I guess that's the difference - I haven't managed to stay on LoTRO for more than about an hour, but DAoC has and still does hold me in there for 12 hrs+ on a good day.

Played a little more this evening and what he says is true. The quests would be better if they were hub based and in set areas but all too often its some here, some there etc and it doesnt feel like it ties together too well.
Finding the main quest line a blast though, just sucks now that i need a few more lvls under my belt to continue it. The game really needs either quest pointers as said or WAY more POI's, landmarks or places marked on the (hard to use) maps.
Also...quests telling you to do stuff at a time of day and no way to tell the time. gg
so basically you have to level your "good" character, then buy an expansion just so you can break even on the evil side... if at allI'm loving it, the involvement with the lotro story is awesome.
The monster play will be good once people get to higher levels on their main characters. And yes, its perfectly possible for a monster character to get as good as a player character, they just level up differently, i'm not going to spoil the surprise.
The free expansion comming at the end of june adds about 400 quests and group encounters and instances from lvl 25-50 + new zones and additions to monster play etc.
To be frank in Lotr pvp seems to have been designed to have no pvp and had it strapped on in a similar fashion to wow, you will probably enjoy it for a day or so then put it back on the shelf.Balance will be an ongoing process that we will continue on the monster side of the fence. Remember, monster players will remain behind the players until they achieve higher ranks and then you will begin to see a change.
