congrats :)

ive never had a problem with pickpockets in london but i guess in any major city you should be aware and not flaunt large wads of cash etc

as long as you stay in the centre and dont go out to Brixton, Tottenham etc you should be fine (keep an eye on the news about the riots you want to avoid them :) )

Tower Bridge is pretty interesting, i went because i didnt want to queue for hours for Tower of london :)

Pickpockets wtf? I mean, I guess it happens, but it's nothing like the rest of Europe. Don't walk around being all paranoid, there's not much to worry about.

I've never been pick pocketed in London, lived here four years.

Make sure you buy an oyster card, dont buy silly travel cards. Buy one each, stick 15 quid on it and that's your travel sorted. Maybe even put ?10 on each and top up if you need it.

Well if you got a phone in your back pocket in a club or a wallet hanging out in the tube you don't have to be a pick pocket master to steal stuff from an idiot.

You choose London for your honeymoon? Really? ;p

Only advice to give is, don't fucking buy anything around Cov Garden, a sandwich will bankrupt you .... Don't bother with tickets and oysters, just buy a all day travel card off peak for a fiver.

In all the years I've lived in London I've only encountered a pick pocket once. Some daft women tourist was walking through a packed Leicester Sq. on a busy Saturday night with her handbag wide open. Some random yob, whom I'm walking behind puts his hand inside and without even thinking about it I just smacked him around the back of the head and said "Don't even think about it". The shock on his face was priceless

Just use common sense and you'll have no problems.

indeed. a hugely long time ago a mate of mine got rolled in LDN, and the thieving cunts even had the gall to put his wallet back in his pocket after taking all the notes and cards from it.

I'd say...only use small denomination notes. Keep your CC/ID/whatever somewhere else than your wallet, don't walk down a dark alley to show the nice men there your shiny new Breitling. Other than that, you'll be fine.

oh, and congrats!

Oyster card usage is capped per day at the same cost of a travel card.

Only if you apply it iirc and you have to buy the oyster, ?5 travel card is just cheaper for a few days.

you don;t have to buy an oyster card, my spare credit card has oyster inbuilt into it

I'm in London just now, it's the pick pockets like me you need to watch for. We take the money from the south east and then bring it back to Scotland to spend it on skag and haggis.

I found Nottingham to be far scarier than London! Take a romantic stroll down the South Bank for the London Eye, Tate Modern, Millenum bridge, The Globe etc... Congratulations dude. Oh to be a newly wed again... so much sex and no responsibility!

Actually just in the hotel at the moment wife (will I ever get used to saying that?) conked out due to early morning and non stop since we got here.

Anyway literally every 10mins sirens going off all the time, anyway its like your in some foreign country here don't think I've heard too much English its mostly Italian and a few other languages I've never heard of.

Oh something hilarious happened a drunk oldish scruffy looking guy was walking towards us fag in gob, bottle of beer in one hand and a walking stick in the other the stick snapped in half and he fell side ways into a table. Everyonewas laughing he gets up and shouts to some random woman "that was your fault!!" looool

Walk around with your rucksake on your front, it lets people know how much you trust them and that you have nothing worth stealing at all.
