It has come to my attention that this game gets just worse for every quarter. I have finally decided to give up DAoC until they fix some serious issues.
It is however quite lot of time for me left to say good bye. My subscription ends in october and after that i have decided i will *not* pay for another period.
First when this game was in early Beta it was awesome .... then it went live .. i was st000pid enough to play EU version and got to learn the st00pid idiotic company named GOA from France.
It all started good, but then every patch game got more and more fucked up. In the beginning noone whined about nerf him .. nerf them .. he is overpowered .. they are overpowered ... nerf nerf nerf .. whine whine whine ... it all started when mythic started to fuckup the classes. That was when whines started and that is what makes DAoC bad.
I will not make this a whine thread so i'll end it with the above st00pid sentence.
The main reasons i will quit are:
* Mythic hired GOA for EU servers
* Mythic don't care at all about EU players
* GOA allways fucks up patches
* The patch with Realm Abilities fucked up game so much i have just waited until they removed them...however they haven't so far .. and probably will never .. thus im leaving. RA's created imbalance, ra's removed the few skills required.
* It's just to little to do and every patch they keep adding more and more PvE features it seems. PvE 4teh people!
* Classes are not working as intended, and never will the way mythic thinks. I.e assasins don't need to rely on stealth moves as they can spec a stealth-tank.
* PBAOE completely destroyed keep-taking and relic raids becuase 2PBAOE users simply can pwn 100 st00pid enemies in 3 button clickx.
* Spellcrafting completely ruined the item hunts thus making it very simple to get high resists in what you want.
* Mythic constantly adds new styles,effects etc .. to compensate for bugs .. thus don't care about bugs.
* Every patch you have to re-design your quickbar and re-learn it, nothing good here .. and it never gets better with any patch.
* There is *NO* skills involving playing DAoC, been prooved to many times. Instant win 4teh skills (purge,ip,aop particulary).
* And tonz more ... i can keep going for ages .. but it has to end somewhere.
But maybe the most important thing to why i don't enjoy this game anylonger and will quit playing is because of the Atmosphere. None levles regulary any longer .. they all PL with buffbots .. the attitude is allways hostile ... new players are allways flamed ... it shouldn't be like this .. it is a community.
I wish to specially thank ASq the guild and Phoenix Legion the guild for my time in Albion / Excalibur.
A very special thanks to Bowen and Yrilinn. You really can't find a better GM then Bowen if you ask me, even though i quit ASq. And yrilinn have allways helped and will allways be remembered as a very good friend.
Other thanks goes to:
Famiron, Ocond, Cplcarrot, Allana, Yunia, Darvi, Hannes, Cathrine, Vlammaskutt, Strondor, Sparmer and last but not least my favourite alb ... Cerdin ... he allways tries to get albs working together, i admire his works and his tries to acomplish an impossible task!
A special thanks to special enemies for allways giving tough fights and especially, ' fun to fight' fight goes to;
Salamurhaaja -> Allways been the sb i want to attack/damage. Don't know why, you don't brag ... and you are good specced, and i allways have fun while fighting you.
Gorbannoch -> Allways trying to kill you in your group/zerg .. don''t care if i die or not but i try to harm you at least.
Vladiki -> A very special respect to you for *ALLWAYS* soloing without buffs and avoiding the zerg. You should be very proud of your RR6. (7 now?)
See you for a last 2 months in emain and i still hope i can kill you a few times each to say good bye =)
I will probably be seen every month or so just to check how the game develops .. when they fix RA's i will be back playing .. and i might try ToA as well when it is released in the EU =).
Until then, have fun playing and I surely hope you realise how Crap daoc is as well
