Hi Laddy,

I know you are not living the easiest of lives, and there is not a lot I can say or do to help you out with that. However, I can say that harsh as it is I believe your experiences have made you a better person for it. To me it was most noticeable when you spoke to people on the forums about your step-dad having had a stroke.

It was extremely clear that you were somewhat shaken, and did not have a good idea what was going to happen or what you were going to do about it. In the course of a few days you said that regardless of what would come to pass you were determined to make sure you would help your mum out, and set out to directly or indirectly ensure that you were good to your word.

Now I do not know what you do or say or what other escapades you get up to in real life, but if your actions on the forums reflect some of the changes you have made to yourself while you endeavour to keep your word I feel strongly that you have indeed improved yourself, and that this change will deliver chances and opportunities for you further along the line.

So, while I can not do anything about your current situation other than wish you the best. I am the old fashioned sort and I believe that what defines quality in a person is what they do in the face of adversity. Having life knock you on your arse, well, nobody can do anything about that. It's what you do after that is important.

To be honest, I also feeel relieved when i share some of my problems with the forumites (at least with those who give a damn), and read about others problems too.

Surprinsingly enough, its way way more easy than telling my old friends or family.

I've felt that way as well. I made a thread about me breaking up like a year ago, and it was such a relief to talk to somebody else about it.

You'r right at all. its easier to tell your prob to a guy that you dont know so good than to others persons very close to ya (family, friends).

i have seen that in Fh's many guyz share their problems of their personal life with the forum members and the majority of em trying to help as much as they could.

i am not many long time active in this forum (just 2 months or so) but it's really the best forum i have ever joined. :p

For those that had bad years know that a year can make all the difference in the world. Last christmas I was 3000 miles away from a girl I was crazy about, my parents looked close to splitting up, I was told my grandmother had at most 6 months to live, I was struggeling at college and I was very unhappy.

Today I am living with that girl, my parents seem to be getting along better, my grandmother is still going strong, I finished college and got a starting job in the career I want to get into.

Things can and do get better.

best of luck to all,

Merry Christmas.
way to rub it in. haha.
