I havent enjoyed one single minute of NF yet or seen one thing I like.

And soloing without stealth is now impossible rather then simply difficult.

Well done mythic.

I've had lots of fun the few times i've been out, as long as the lag isn't too bad.
I have soloed some, but mostly been in a duo/trio and it's great=)
Sometimes we get run over by a FG, but that's no different than it was before.
If you go to the right places, there's plenty of soloers/smaller groups around.
Even had some fun camping Gorge. That's something i've missed. :)

and everything is so damn flat.
and if there are trees there are mobs who are usually aggressive and cons other than grey. Tho it makes easy to avoid aggro by staying in the open.
Yeah, that i agree with. The scenery is boring. I would have liked to RvR in something like Iarnwood.
There's too many plateaus with only a few places to get up, kinda reminds me of Neverwinter Nights.
The aggro is also too much.

It rox, it makes it alot easier for a new player to get into RvR. I hope that is what you all want?

Im complete newb, and yet i manage to get some realmpoints everyday, i only solo right now, since i dont want to mess up peoples groups, until i learn how to play my class 110% (ok, ok, i solo cause its fun!).

I die alot, ofcourse... got 1200 Hp i think, get 2 shotted by SM's/BD's or whatever they are, hurts insanely :p

But, with my pet, my ML's, and some assisting, i manage to get maybe 10k rp's on a good casual day.

Before NF i was barely able to get 1 kill in 1 casual playing day... it has improoved loads... loads!

/Xazu - 50 newb Chanter signing out...

Which will show you what exactly, where all the big groups and towers being attacked are? Well done if your a soloer that can take on a whole group or 2 that shows up on the map.

summary:

good - the game is far more daoc'ish then the game was pre NF. almost(?) all classes are now viable to rvr with. less class balance whine (due to less grp vs grp, or class vs class fights).

bad - realm population differance. stealthers. mcl/rp nerf. the new 'zonewalls'.

Hopefully, as FC are trying to, a fg vs fg zone will get worked out and we'll get our "emain" again.
Gogo fg vs fg zone :D initially we tried mid cus everyone was zerging hib, but then the hibs whined so now everyone is in mid! :(

Basically the best thing to do is take a tower, claim it, then people know where you are and can come along for a fg fight :) for example earlier this evening (well yesterday evening now technically) BC took a tower in emain so we went a long to kill a guard and get there attention, we ended up meeting a load of hibs but it was still fun anyway.

I'm not sure if a fg vs fg zone will be possible cus the zerg always shifts to wherever the actions is according to /realmwarmap but one thing im hoping is that the zergs will die down a bit as people get bored of the constant "xxx shoots you with their bow" all the time.

zergi at a keep kinda boring Zzzz, might as well marco for it or something.

I tend to roam around between where enemy teleports in, and the zerg battle, lots of 1 vs 1-2 there.

Can attack a tower, and bring them to you also, killed quite a few eariler today this way, bash a tower down so its under siege on the warmap and hide, kill incs :)

I play alb excal with a melee scout.

Add me to the 'non viable' for rvr classes then please, havent had a single group yet and solo is impossible.

Current RvR = Check for a tower with flames on it, zerg tower, look for next one.

It's different and fun. Feels like playing a new game at the moment, and its very much a case of make of it what you want. Some play it as moth daoc chasing the flames, others make their own flames. There're also fg battles to be had. Plenty of variety if you don't come in with a narrow mind.

Good fun, vastly better than OF.
I still die constantly, but unless I'm somewhere stupid theres usually a rezz nearby....and if not I can get back somewhere useful without waiting on the gothi's to finish their tea break first.
Above all it's good fun, and many "leet" people seem to be whining about how it's crap...presumably because their skillz don't include adaptation - which only makes me smile :p

Ive had alot of fg vs fg fights with my new guild Tedious Ten :O

and tbh its not that hard to dou in NF (solo is abit of a pain with merc due not having speed), just camp some harbour/bridge and stealthers will find you :fluffle:

bots, dont have in their mind to grapple when the keep is under attack thats an advantage.Generally you can find fg but if you dont you are forced to go near keep(for not get bored) and get zerged.

can have fights without stealther adds, never ever happened prenf. Kinda fun xpect 100+ sieges where i got like 5 fps and a bit too many arhcers
Insta action is cool, zergs are mostly at keep takes not at amg which is fine with me as you got the chance to decide if you wish to fight them or not (unlike preNF when 1 realm camped a mg etc.)

+ hib zerg can be CC-ed now
+ not every hib castur 3 shoting ppl oO
+ resist pierce, buffArcane, mastery of art nerfed \o/ casters aint killing ppl that fast
+ no more waiting for port - new frontier looks cool and big, many possibilites
- sieges are too long and laggy with mass forces, boiling oil is a joke
- determ nerf was a bit overtop, especially since most fights are range based
- not banelord pathed tanks are kinda useless xpect being a bg-bot

As I said in another thread asking about how fun NF is, well I have to say I do miss the FG vs FG stuff a bit, not that bad as our new guild members arent fully toa'd yet...

So mostly been fooling around with towers, towers are fun mkay! Their a bit more easy to capture then keeps pre-nf, which is nice... And defending them is fun...

Boiling Oil is nasty, one person can easely keep off a fg from entering a tower/keep as long as its up... Even setting in a ram, 800+ dmg isnt unusual...

Archers are a bit over the top (imho)... Getting hit for 500-900 damage every 1.5-2s is a bit like pre-nf hib casters...

But the worst is still the power-part... Power is so expensive in NF :(

NF rocks.

I love now this game is like the one I thought I bought all that time ago - large scale RvR battles with a point! The new keeps and scale of things are so much better - gone are the days when a fg could capture a castle. I love seeing the keeps loom in the distance and see siege machines firing from them on the horizon - good stuff!

So tough on all the fgvfg l33td00d whiners. I like the fact that more people are in rvr, that artifacts have less impact and effect and that leadership and strategy is far more important than your perfect group makeup.

he means solo as in 1vs1 fights, like he could find in non crowdy places like hw before etc, atm, a tank running solo the frontiers is a freefrag, then again, u can always carry couple pults with u and combined with ur xbow ull make hell of a leech on the nearest siege fight!

tbh, give it 1more week, and all will b fine, not the same old but can still find fg fun. Need ppl to get used to the port/boat system and the new combat-layout
