LOL at Patch download

i have to laugh my super fast 1meg cable connection is downloading the update at 0.5 kb a second, any guesses how long it will take? Haha

hehe, do you remember the days when getting any kind of speed was a bonus? i remember downloading GTA1 at 0.5k on a spanking top of the line 28k modem

My isp is fine , just finished downloading ac2 trial version from fileplanet 832meg in a constant 76kb a sec, just cant seem to get the goa update.

It's a problem with one of the routers between NTL and GOA, it's effecting primarily NTL customers but is not effecting anything else i.e. downloads from none GOA websites etc.

ADSL email today saying they coming to my area in June offering me to signup :great:

and also must be the 1st patch I have had from GOA with no problems, no hassles. A thumbs up to the GOA guys as well. About time :great:

Gone 2am and still unable to download update, it starts to d/l but at less than 1kb a sec before tailing off and stopping altogether. no problems d/l from other sites etc and speed tests show up fine. have checked the server addresses in the update.dat are ok.

PS Are there any other NTL customers having the same problem? (Located NE England)

PPS Acei where did u get that info on the possible NTL link and my problem?

Average of 170kbyte/s on my 8megabit connection, but then again I live in Holland (still bad though seeing that 800kbyte/s is possible

Forums, my own issues with NTL, traceroute results from several people, one of the routers is having major packet loss, my auto-patcher kept starting and stopping i had to get a friend to send me the biggest patch files as my patcher kept stopping on them.

Im on nTL and yup download speed of between 1 -6 k then stopping. Now in game I LD every 5 min or so and when not Ld ,lag of at least 5 seconds.... not good fer an infil or anyone i guess

PS Can anyone who is on a 600k cable modem NTL customer and has been sucessful in d/l patch let me know what area of the uk they r in , ive got a list of the NTL proxys so im going to try another area proxy address. Not sure if it will help but its worth a try.

They say it's not their fault it's a router server in between GOA and NTL they said they will try to contact the router administrator about it... although this literally took over an hour to explain to them, they kept trying to fob me off.
