A lot of stuff simply happens because people are quite rightly watching and concentrating on a targets health bar rather than the graphics going on in front of them.
People aim, people fire, sometimes the shot goes off, sometimes you get the message the target is not in view.
The animations that relate to actions, very, very often are linked to the real events rather than the lagged graphics delay. It can appear that doors are open, when they are shut, and vice versa. It can appear that people are running through the doors, when they are stopped the other side. To counteract that, don't run up to a door, approach it from the side, so any lag tracking doesn't put you into the enemy attackers. Bit hard if you are attacking a fort though.
If they can't grab you, they can't hit you . . .
If you are attacking a fort, and can see people on the wall obviously in range (for example the Rangers), you should not get messages saying target is not in view. Likewise for defenders, if you can see the attackers from the battlements, and they are obviously in range, then you shouldn't get those target can not be seen messages either..
