OK so recent install of Windows XP Pro SP2. Updated to SP3. Latest version of Messenger. 2 things. In the connections it has this:

And I don't know how to sort it because I don't know what that fucking error means. And it won't save my login details. And before you ask yes I have checked all the boxes and made sure the shared computer box isn't checked.

Hmm, if you log in to your router configuration page you could look for UPnP and see if you can enable it. As far as I recall it's a way of automatically/dynamically configuring port forwarding.

OK so I logged into the router. UPnP is enabled and for good measure I temporarily diesabled the routers firewall. (Stupid Speedtouch 510 doesn't have a custom setting) Still having the same problem, notably that webcams will close out at around 5 seconds.

Reinstall of Messenger sorted login saving issues though.
