While somewhat accurate, i don't think it applies to all things and all people. Some are impulse shoppers, some have things for necesssity(like work), as gifts etc, or simply because of a packrat mentality(guilty there).

The judgement can be based on the things one owns, but the reason for the judgement doesn't. Judgement in itself is a choice to judge and that's based on other things(psychological etc) then the target

In some cases the object of judgement doesn't even matter as you simply just want to judge the person you dislike.
