Limit download speed

Scenario: I want to play Diablo 3, but I also want to download Guild Wars 2. I cannot do both at the same time as the download speed causes massive lag in Diablo.

I heard someone say something like "oh yeah I limited my guild wars download to 100kbps so I could still play my game.

How do they do this?

I have Windows 7 and a BT Homehub router.

In most Download Managers you can select a speed in the options. Does guild wars run as a IE download or in a client?

Via a client.

Check the settings then if possible there will be an option there. Setting it on the router would involve traffic shaping and learning what port the client uses.

Yup, I also use netlimiter to throttle my download machine while gaming...
