Like you said, why get a laptop instead of a PC for gaming

They all look pretty good to me and as Chetan (in Kryten mode) has said then go for a known brand like Corsair for the PSU and 650w min...

They look ok, apart from the issues raised already, although I doubt you'll need crossfire. I run three 1920x1200 screens in eyefinity on my 5870, and it runs games fine!

Some thing to bear in mind is that new graphics cards from ATI are about to come out, so I wouldn't recommend buying top end graphics at the moment!

No, I play sims a fair bit, and run them in 3600x1920. They work out just bigger than my 42" TV, very immersive. Did cost me the best part of £1k though, but I do get a lot of use out of them!

Due to a pretty sudden divorce of my parents I put these plans on hold for a bit, and now things have sorted themselves out abit I can continue forward. Sorted out what I need from a gaming PC from what I want (saved myself money when I started thinking like that).

Think I can lower my budget and still get what I wanted out of the system; These are all pretty damm close main difference being Intel or AMD and warranty really.

All have the; Hd screen+ Blu ray player, 4gb RAM, I5 or AMD Phenom II Quad Core CPU's and ATI HD5770 Graphics, 1TB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home premium. And of course the named PSU's :p If you did want to see what I came up with in detail, I've listed them below and edited out the crap that wasn't needed.

I'll probably wait till January anyway for the newer ATI Cards, for a few reasons but I'm in no rush and the price could come down with the card I was going to pick. Also depending on the price of the new ones and what they offer. If there's nothing massively wrong with these setups then that's all good or by all means say what you think about them :) And thanks for the in-put up to date.

They all look pretty good, but I would suggest waiting for the new ATI/AMD cards to come out, at the very least you'll get it a bit cheaper!
