i still can't believe both guilds are being accused of being elite, makes me laugh because some of the people posting here were meant to be my friends and they know i'm not an elitist

can't believe how daggers have come out with a tiny bit of success. some people here were meant to be friends i truly feel sorry for all the grief sotl have had as well

for a guild thats elitist we seem to spend alot of time helping others. Opening up DF, large RvR battles in Emain where lots come from out of the guild and are welcome and just this sunday we arranged with AoV to let them kill Barfog epics as well us as they were already there. Surely if we were elite we'd just kill everything and only open DF up for our own members.

And as far as i know the quote about LoE being second in Albion is directly related to Realm Points. I'm know that guilds with just a few members have just as much fun and are just as important.

To be honest this thread was meant as a celebration and its been completely marred by flames and accusations of ego's. To be honest its kind of upset me

- SotL arent elite... in fact i dont even think any guild can be called that.... SotL is a guild designed not to RvR, not to Ropleplay but to raid, thats what gives them the kick. Hmmmm whats the hunt for the Legion called again ? Exactly.... Raid.
I always thought that if the guild doesnt have a common goal... then it simply shouldnt have been created.

PS: the fact that you show your jealousy <call it what you wish> doesnt get you anywhere... flame ? well flame wont get you anywhere either <thats my subjective opinion anyhow>.

PPS: SotL and LoE im damn proud of you people, as usual decent planning and action, keep it up and maybe at some point the dragon will regret he ever nested in Dartmoor.

Go read the posts again please. Any of the messages which could initially have been thought to be moans about "elitism" have been explained.

It certainly is a damn good thing that the 2 Guild's did - but some people see that there is a high probability that they'll never get to take Legion, some because their Guild isn't raid oriented - others because they're Guild doesn't contain enough members/enough high levels. So where you see "bitching" it's more likely to be mere personal disappointment.

The only way for those people to organise a raid is to post up on Barrysworld -- then the Mids and Hibs will know that at a certain time 60+ high level Albs will be in Darkness Falls up to their neck in demon. We can all safely say that would be a bad idea.

Guys stop this please just be happy for the 2 guilds for defeating it i am sure others will in the future its just LOE and SOTL are ahead of most guilds atm and the other guilds even know it.

Tactics....

As Gideon states SoTL did their homework pre-raid.

SoTL having main tank and aggro holder (SF). LOE keeping an eye on pops and clearing them. Luckily we had almost 0 pops during both fights so we had 80 people beating the crap out of him most of the time.....

But in reality its a case of "throw enough bodies at it and it'll die"....

I think i wrote in another thread that my guess would be 5-7 groups can do it (47+). 5, perhaps, 6, certainly.

You get used to it.

As someone said SotL is a raiding guild. It's what we do; if you don't have some purpose for your guild (be it raids, RP, RvR, whatever), then it's just a chat group with an emblem.

Well in the end he was damn good fun, but as someone quite rightly said we dont go in blind, as with any new high mob we fight a few suicide squads were sent in to get a feel for the mob

In all LOE complimented sotl and vica versa, and this helped somewhat. In all it was a really well rounded team and i think taking more would just have caused more lag making it worthless

Excellent job on legion

Although the smaller guilds probably can't get involved in a regular Legion/Barfog/Cailleach/DM raid.the tactics used would be a great help for any future co-operative raid for all those not in a big guild (class breakdowns,group structure e.t.c. )

p.s. Thankyou to SotL (especially Whismerill and Canicula from DS) for helping me with the epic quests...... I think soloing Urigaig would have been beyond me........eternal kiting anyone
