...I insist you both go and buy Grace by Jeff Buckley.......TODAY.

There is about 4 good songs on the double My Sweetheart The Drunk cd, those songs are amazingly beautiful but it smells of a cash in.

I got the Grace e.p's yesterday, they are worth having.

Jeff Buckley was one of the world's greatest loses. Fuck Elvis, if I could bring someone back, it'd be Jeff.

Agreed. While I loved Nirvana, I can't help feeling Jeff was as just a big a loss if not more so than Kurt Cobain was, in a music sense of course.

The Beatles aren't my cup of tea but I don't think that they're awful.

And Oasis....don't even get me fucking started.

I wouldn't insult any band by comparing them to the fucktard brothers.

I'd partially agree, their later stuff after meeting Ravi Shankir was terrible, however their early stuff is the most fantastic pop whilst also having a message.

Suspicious Minds (Live in Vegas of course) > anything the Beatles ever did.

Just thought of something...

Anyone who likes metal (black metal in particular) get hold of Opeth's Blackwater Park.

Alternatively, find me on IRC and you can sample some leetness!

Care to recomend some here Mank?

(In particularly any more melodic stuff with clean vocals, should they do such things)

Best tracks on Blackwater Park are:

  • Bleak
  • Patterns In The Ivy (only a little acoustic ditty)
  • Harvest

Best tracks on Still Life are:

  • Benighted
  • ... and that's the only one I like.

Not got round to listening to Deliverance yet, but Wreath is supposed to be very good.

For the record, I reckon Opeth are very melodic. No doubt someone will prove me wrong :)
