i was having an argument with a leftwing friend just now, and i came up with basically the all time most meaningful thing anyone has ever said. it is.. as follows..

lefties are living in a dream world, righties are living in a realistic world. if you think about it, seriously, thats so true. left wing people want things they KNOW cant happen, like world peace for instance. they know deep down in they're subconcious that these things can NEVER happen, and will NEVER happen.

however right wing people see things realisticly, they know things are wrong (immigration for instance), and they know something constructive has to be done toward it.

its like peace protestors, they make me sick, they're the depiction of leftiness, and they are what im talking about. by going on a peace protest, if anything, they're gonna make the government more eager to get on with the war to get it out of the way. how many peace protests do YOU remember that have actually worked?

look at these lefty idiots out in israel, getting shot up by the israeli army (which by the way i think is hillarious), these idiots stand infront of tanks.. get run over and then start complaining about being run over in the first place! ITS A FUCKING DREAM WORLD!!!! would you get a right winger walking up to a nuclear missile, strapping his face to it and detonating it, then complaining about the loud bang?

i have constructive opinions toward the world, i know what needs to be done, and all the things i think need to be done COULD be done and WOULD work. lefties like my friend want things that they know could never happen in a million years... and i think they know that.

basically, what i've concluded from this thought is this:

lefties are unemployed, or students that have NEVER done a days work in they're lives, dont understand the way the world works, and still live in a childish fantasy where everything 'might' be hunkydory if everyone just... gets alloooong with each other. BOLLOCKS IT WONT EVER FUCKING HAPPEN.

i say round up all hippies and fucking... set them alight, then use the heat generated to make weapons.

1. I agree with you, but wouldn't put it as harshly as you have. A lot of people have this false ideal that there can be peace. Especially in places like the middle east.

Let me set things straight for those of you who do think such things, and this is fact that has been researched on both sides:

Both sides are heavily heavily religious and nothing will change that.

Both side's religions say that the other side is their enemy.

So who are you to say to them that their beliefs are wrong and they should live in harmony, when they've been fighting an endless/never ending war.

i dunno, prolly yea.. but not definatly. if i lead a country i'd concentrate on the country itself, i wouldnt bother about the outside world straight off. i'd get the country how it should be straight away... chuck out immigrants, keep them out, harsher laws on all crimes, bring the death penalty back, and some penalties of my own... like parilization and shit.. i'd make the streets a place where innocent people need not be scared, and where anyone remotely guilty of any crime wouldnt dare leave they're house.

i'd give all police tazars, battens and rubber bullet firing guns, aswell as stab proof/bullet proof vests and riot vehicles. i'd also think of a way to encourage people into the police, something like a big pay increase. with the extra people gained into hte police force i'd set up more patrols around more crime ridden areas, where force CAN and WILL be used by the police officers, there wouldnt be any question as to weather the police were in the right to shoot the criminal with a rubber bullet, they'd be commended for they're efforts instead of ridiculed.

maybe even a bonus for the police officers to have the most criminals sentenced.. hmm...

but as i said, i wouldnt intefere with the outside world too much.

Well, basically, their view of life is fucked up. Because they believe that if they die and take some of us 'Western devils' with them then they will live in eternal paradise in Babylon or some crap. This bullshit is drummed into them at such an early age that they actually believe it and no amount of brainwashing, torturing or teaching would ever get it out of them. Which leaves you with one fucked up nation of people and one fucked up problem on your hands when you realise they hate your country and will happily die just to kill a few of your people.

Yes, this is a DAoC forum for users, not a political venting ground, left or right wing. I'm not going to argue it so you can bring up whatever about your views against other people's views. I've absolutely no issues at all with you discussing this elsewhere, but a public gaming forum that's supposed to be a casual/fun place to browse isn't it.

End result it, anymore similar threads/posts and people will get banned as the material isn't wanted. These forums aren't a right and neither is absolute freedom of speach on here. A spiraling arguement isn't going to do any good.
