Firstly, Im going to say dont flame this thread with anything overly racist, etc, Id like to get some decent political debate going.
Karam: Ive read your thread on left wing idealism, and imo your a bit out mate. People need to realise theres left wing and theres 'left wing' politics. Political ideals aren't as clear cut as you are making out, and there is no way the political scale is straight, extreme left meets extreme right and they both come down to the same thing.
My idea of left wing idealism stems around communist theory with a hint of marxist control, not disimilar to that which is writen in Das Kapital. I would like to see a generaly equal country. But at the same time, thats an equal country for the people that live here. I dont want immagrants here any more then the apparent 'right wingists' dominating this forum. Thats not racist, but how can you keep a stable economy with people flooding the country and kicking it out of equilibrium.
The communist manifesto is a good one, four legs are better then two (animal farm) and at the same time some are more equal then others. A sound theory, difficult to act out in its entirety.
Id like to see some ideas from both lefties and righties, and when I say lefties I dont meen followers of the labour government
