I had a fucking great weekend. I sold my ticket because i thought the lineup was poor but still got to see the few bands i like using my friends access-all-areas pass because it went around the neck not the wrist. I went down on the wednesday and got in with just an early permit, the weather was lovely all weekend and i spent the entire time off my face :)

I was there and thought the chillis were dire. They had massive gaps between songs and kept argueing and were just playing in boring generally. The jams they did every so often were pretty good though. Half way through i got bored and went and layed in the VIP area.

Best band for me were the gallows. They had so much energy and the frontman is a loonatic. He got tattoed midway through their performance with Reading 2007 on his arm and during the encore he climbed halfway up the center pole in the tent and dived into crowd :D

For anyone who went you can browse the camp's aerial view maps at NME.COM - The world's fastest music news service, music videos, interviews, photos and free stuff to win.

Wish this indie shit would fuck off to be honest, then we can see real bands play at Leeds!

Red Hot Chillis were probably the only band I would pay to see, rest is a load of fotm bollocks :(

Bring back Slipknot, Iron Miaden, Metallica, Maralyn Manson. You know real bands with real history, not some fotm shit like Razorlight

I warn you, don't pay to see RHCP. I've seen them about 4 times and they're been so disappointing live every time, all my mates agree. :( Although watching that video they looked better than they actually were which is wierd.

The indie and scene kids have flooded the festival now. The lineup is awful compared to previous years and the people the new indie crappy bands bring are really annoying. For the first year of all the times ive been to reading the neighbouring campers have been annoying or boring as hell. Usually you'll find some real quality friendly people who will make your weekend but now its full of scene kids who all look and act the same :(

I was absolutely trollied all weekend!

Such a mint time, ranging from getting wasted to watching someone drink a pot noodle filled with piss for £20!

Also.

OWNED READING HAHAHAHAHHAHAH!

I was sat there baked, pissed and really hot and sweaty and a random page of the paper flew over, I grabbed it since there was a camp site there out of curiosity and found that Reading got flooded!

Chillies were disappointing, I love them and saw em 3 years back and it was awesome, bit kedis this time seemed disjointed and pissed off.

Did you guys at reading act like ***** when they were on or something? :p

Also Billy Talent fucking rocked!

Mint weekend.

Was so battered every day!

Chillis had technical problems at reading. they stopped and restarted the first song atleast twice iirc :p

Flooding at reading was pretty much non-existant. As far as i know one of the campsites was flooded but they just changed the carpark camp the a campsite and all was fine. Was a bit muddy in a few places but nothing less than last year. It was fucking baking hot all weekend in fact, i'm rawly sunburnt :p

Also i have to ask, at Leeds do all the bands say something a long the lines of "wow you guys are much better fans than reading" ? every band i said we were better than leeds but i get the feeling they do it regardless :p

Exactly, though im glad the emos didnt invade my lovely Leeds fest this year. Peopleare seeing the light, get rid of the indie scene(apart from Kaiser Chiefs, they are from Leeds after all ;) ) and bring back the rock! :D

I want to see Lordi, Slipknot/ Stone Sour/Murderdolls, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Maralyn Manson, 3 Inches of Blood and Ozzy Osbourne next year, that would be a weekend worth seeing ;)

They are practically the same o_O, anyone claiming different either went with a shit set of mates or is simply arguing for arguments sake

I prefer Reading simply because i dont have to sleep in a grimey tent as i'm 30 mins down the road

It's all become commercialised just like Glastonbury, they are tailoring to the biggest audience possible which at the mo is Indy, if you dont like that sort of thing dont go?
For the record i wouldnt want to see half that list :p

Capdown were good as usual. Although they played some of the new album nstead of the good stuff. they didnt play any songs from Pound For Sound album which was annoying since there new stuff is pretty naff. Still some great skankage going down. The new album being so crap has made me not really care theyre splitting up.

I saw them when I was 15 and got smacked by some fat meathead in the moshpit. He got thrown out shortly afterwards! xD

And people who don't like heavy metal can go to hell, right? Or did I miss the secret meeting where it was decided that your taste in music was the correct taste and everyone else should like it or fuck off?

*ehum*

I think he was getting at the fact that believe it or not, Leeds and Reading started out as mainly a flat out rock fest.

What it is today is a shadow of what it used to be, IE full of faggy emo and indie.

Get your facts right before having a go.

Started as a jazz festival actually so if you think about its just continuing it's cycle :p

However a few years ago you would get variety with each day on the mainstage catering to different tastes, not to mention all the smaller stages. Now days it's all pretty similar across the board.

In other words.

Indie or Emo.

I hope the lineup's a lot better next year, this years was pretty tame, I mean I saw 3 things on Sat and 2 on Sunday, wtf?

I really wish NME would bloody well fuck off since this year was just full of NME certified bands, basically if you aren't in their mag with a good review, you don't get on, which really fucks me off.

This year was full to the brim of faggy little indie kids which at a couple of bands, I enjoyed beating 7 shades out of in the mosh pit since they just don't know how to do it properly! Oh yes, it's immensely satisfying.

Yes I am a twat for doing it but the fad kids need showing that they aren't top of the food chain and i'm happy to oblige drilling that message in.

Also, Razorshite were the biggest waste of headliner time ever.

Of course people are entitled to their own opinions, but you obviously have a shit taste in music if you listen to them.

Right so i can just say that your taste in music is utter shit because you listen to what ever you do. Do yourself a favour and get your facts right before you begin to make no sence. Because un-fortunatly your opinions on whether music is good or not means nothing to anyone.

Sorry, I just really really really really despise Razorlight.

I was going to go see them with the intent of trying to hit the singer with a bottle of piss.

Had the same planned for the gossip but frankly couldnt be arsed. :p
