Oooh yeah, should of asked you Willierz0r.

So its all the same stuff then? We are being conned.....CONNED BY YOU!!

No, they just make it to each other's formulas so that they can distribute it the most efficient ways around the country; been doing it that way for years. Personally I use the BP Ultimate stuff, not because I think its better than the equivalents, but because a. I get nectar points, and b. there are about 5 BP garages to every one Shell or Esso garage in West London so I don't have much of a choice.

I've had an Intergrale.

The most heart breaking car to keep and run that I have ever owned.

Never again..........never again!!

What fuel do you use? I put Optimax in mine (98 RON), which many people claim gives better economy, cancelling out the 7-8ppl difference.

In general I think thats true. But for some reason with the rotaries Optimax makes jack shite difference to the performance and there are reports that the fuel efficiency even goes down with it!. Some club members contacted Shell and even Shell advised not to use Optimax with a rotary engine. They said it would be a waste of money...

Well I suppose if you don't buy a car with a proper engine you can't really expect to be able to use proper fuel can you?

A lad I work beside has one Tom, he says it's an incredible car but you might end up on first name terms with the mechanics because they can be quite unreliable, not to mention hideously expensive for parts.

Still a fookin riot of a car though ;).

Catsby is reminded of a few classics:

TVR - Trouble Very Regularly

LOTUS - Lots of Trouble, Usually Serious.

The others Catsby forgets.

Aye, I'm thinking of getting an old one (deffo V8, heard the straight-6 is a bit pants), or perhaps something a bit older, maybe a Taimar for a larf).

Would be strange to go from a smooth cossetting comfortable ride from the TT, to a raw hungry manhair-sprouting beast of a car with no creature comforts!

Honestly, either of those is just so fucking tempting. I could live without the creature comforts from my Audi, especially with the older S-series. I'm salivating at the thought of having that older one for 7 grand, insuring it, and instantly halving my loan repayments.

Then again, the second one is bloody nice as well, and much more modern and fancy, and from selling the TT I'd have 5-6 grand in the bank to tide me over for the taxman etc.

What would you guys do? Cheap and fun, or expensive and luxurious?

First one is capable of 0-60 in less than 6 seconds, top speed of 135mph I think, although it varies with the engine size obviously.

I've more or less decided, if I can get a good price for the TT, its going going gone. Just gotta work out if the insurance will let me not install a Tracker, and park it in the road.

Just...don't. The 5-6 grand you save you'll need to keep the thing on the road.
