One thing I couldnt work out is why they got an American to do the voice of Shrek - in a Scottish accent.

would have been better with Robbie Coltrane / Billy Connolly doing the voice.

IIRC Mike Myer's dad is scottish. And I guess the hollywood execs were thinking how great he was as "Fat Bastard" in Austin Powers 2.

Yup - his accent is ALMOST scottish - most of the time.

Doesnt maintain it throughout the film though.

apart from me falling madly in love with Mrs[!] Jolie's....thighs [really, I love 'em gotta have gotta HAVE GOTTA HAVE -if they were candy I'd suck on em all day long heh] I thought it was a load of utter crap.
