Lara Croft:Tomb Raider

Shrek was great IMO.

The humour was substantial, especially for a CG film (which, in the past have always suffered from being attempted comedies, and failed on the grounds the writers were shit)

Myers' accent was however, grating, and would've been better off sticking to an american accent (despite most folklore being traditionally european)

Tomb Raider I've not seen yet, and only have intents to go to accompany a friend (I for one, think Jolie mings hugely from the trailers)

Her lips so utterly reak of a girl who was down at the docks by the age of 5 giving blowjobs, and has, as a result - a cleft lip thing.

Ho hum.

It wasn't shit, it was alright. Just most computer literate people hate it cos the technical aspects of it were all bollocks.

In neighbours libby once did a search for someone's name on the newspaper database. The only problem was that she actually just typed out SEARCH and underneath, a name, in microsoft word. It was quite quite shit

Thats up there with Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) typing in "Jobe@3:14" as an email address in Mission Impossible, Lex Murphy (Ariana Murphy) - a character incapable of knowing what situations it is best not to wave a flashlight around or how to switch it off - navigating around a 3D World of the system ("Hey, this is Unix! I know this!"), or Independance Day - aliens with supremely advanced technology, weapons and vehicles who have computer systems that - despite being alien - are susceptible to the "Jolly Roger" virus. And then there was of course "Hackers", a film based entirely around computers with trendy hackers using super-computer laptops fighting an organisation whose computer system consists of a massive 3D World complete with flashing lights and bits (one would presume memory) zooming about the place.

But I'm a realist. Realistic computer systems and Hollywood action adventure flicks don't exactly go hand in hand. Whilst I'm sure it would be more true to life to see Ethan Hunt sitting around waiting for Outlook to load, Lex typing in "grep --parp | lock doors" in a shell window and hackers doing what they do the way they do it (ie. using scriptz and shellcode) - no one in the cinemas would understand what was going on.

I remember neighbours. For YEARS AND YEARS afterwards, the only sounds you could hear coming from the computer were those of "Magic Carpet". Remember that? Well I'm pretty sure if you watched it now and they were pretending to play a game, those are the sound effects you'd hear.

they got it right in anti-trust, they had IPs and stuff, and they he went onto a unix prompt and typed ps aux, and then that showed him that some nasty person was running a program, and stuff...

TR is shit btw, I'd agree entirely :/

(Saw it today, fucking lame excuse for men to sit and masturbate over the more real version of their beloved lamet game [incidently, jolie's breasts spend the entire film being lop sided, bravo padding])

End.

Two words and a smiley: loved it :D

go see it if you han't yet [and you like animated stuff]. In fact see it even if you don't like animated stuff. Much enjoyment aiiiiii :D

One thing tho....I really did _not_ laugh at the "crossing the stream via the bent tree" gag. That was too fscking obvious even for me.
I rate it 4,5 ogres out of 5.

ps. They also screened the FF preview. It looked AMAZING!
