Lag Spikes

Is it just me or are the enormous lag spikes since the 1.49 patch making other people's horses abandon them en route (for example)? This is almost unplayable, like, er.. cross your fingers and hope you haven't died yet.

I think it could have something to do with the server populations last night

yeah, im getting strange sudden massive packetloss to prydwen, and then a few seconds later it is back to normal 30-40 ping times.. some times it results in me just lagging alog for a 15 seconds, other times i go linkdead

hmm, i have the same, runs fine a while and then BLAM a huuuge packetlosspike... and sometimes LD, quite annoying , since its been like this a while now, soloing is quite impossible unless I jump max lowyellows, oww well... hope is solves out some day, the sooner the better.
oh and i have these spikes quite often, like once per 10 minutes maybe or even 5...

I kept having the same problem in DF last night, I put it down to the servers not being able to handle so many people from all three realms crammed into a small space.

our server has few people on it though..

If it can't handle that many on our poorly populated server, it must be a nightmare on others..

It is probably linked to the fact that GOA have moved or setup new servers, if you remember it was like this when we first started playing, give em a few days to sort it

Aye the lag is absurd with the intensity of the rvr now after DF was implemented. But finally there is purpose with rvr play rather than an endless and pointless tug of war.

So when GOA upgraded to the new patch the server must have turned grey on them

So the question is if they will address the issue or calculate that the current influx of old players will fade away when the novelty of the DF area disappears and it will business as usual again. But since DF has given a really nice injection to the rvr I really hope they will do what it takes to make the game playable on prime time again.

I wasn't in RvR last night, but I ran Ping Plotter the whole night, and my ping only once went about 100. Ran perfectly everywhere I went. I didn't got to DF, so I can't speak about that. But otherwise, no lag spikes last night for me.

I didn't play much last night, but the night before was completely fine, apart from 1, maybe 2 huge lag spikes within a few seconds of each other.
