Right my lovelies, I got myself an old PC at the weekend to use as a linux dev box (and I can't get Ubuntu to install without presenting me with a black screen and a mouse pointer, but thats a separate issue) and also got myself an Edimax 4 Port PS2 KVM from Overclockers. Now I've got it home, and I cannot get anything out of it for love nor money. I've connected up the PC's with the cables provided, plugged in my monitor, mouse and keyboard, turn the PC's on an nothing. Nyet. The PC's sit there and boot but the KVM appears to be dead.

Now I see one of two issues 1) The KVM is dead and I need a new one.

2) I've missed something obvious.

Any ideas chaps and chapettes?

Sounds pretty dead to me if both machines are powered up and it's all plugged in you should be seeing something. Try swapping the plugs from one machine to another and see if one of the machines has a dead graphics card or something.

Define dead bod, does your monitor power off or what?
