Advice Kodi Krypton

Any Kodi nerds in da house? I've finally gotten around to updating my Android box under the downstairs telly to Krypton, and the new UI looks a bit shit. Its a 4K telly but the highest res I seem to be able get on the UI (Estuary) is 1080p and so the graphics and anti-aliasing on the fonts looks a wee bit low rent. I have Krypton on another (FireTV) box upstairs on a 40" 1080p telly and it looks lovely. Anyone know if there's a way to get a higher res UI on Kodi 17?

Try turning off the TV, then android box, then turn on the TV and then the box and try to change the res then (the important bit is turning on the TV first). There was a problem a while ago with HDMI handshaking, might be the issue here.
