dude this game is already old, ther was lots of great sites around when u started ur eu char, like www.classesofcamelot.com, great char planner and general info.

every1 can make a mistake. Mythic didnt think about respec early enough. and coz of goa's incompetence u have to be sad coz u wont be able to respec any time soon. If u were US it wouldnt be so bad, the respec would be pretty close in that case.

I think its faster to lvl a lvl 50 on US than waiting for the respec patch in EU, which isnt even done on US yet.

The facts:

US DAOC are on 1.48-1.50 by January 2002.
European beta runs till February 14 2002. Retail comes out on February 15 2002.

Why wasn't the European version of DAOC released with atleast version 1.48 pressed on CD?

British Telecom have recently cut the price of ADSL subscription form £40 a month to £30 a month. Now could u imagine if they made their existing customers continue to pay £40 instead of £30, they would surely lose customers, enraged customers at that.

Now, suddenly the whole dynamics that make up the Avalonian Wizard of Albion, have radically alterred from 1.45 to 1.48.

Zoyster has got Earth 23 and Fire 49, and can simply not reach 50 Fire. This was his optimum speccing for version 1.45.

I think it's about time GOA actually started serving it's fee paying customers rather than battling them.

U HAVE CHANGED THE GAME RADICALLY. It is not a feasable excercise to wait for the respeccing patch because it is simply beyond the horizon. We are talking about the here and now.

DON'T TELL ME THAT ONE OF TECH BOYS @ GOA CANNOT ALTER A SIMPLE DATA FILE TO CHANGE HIS 23 EARTH TO 20, AND HIS 49 FIRE TO 50.

GOA's reluctance to serve their customer in this way only tells me one thing, that you are cold, and only truly intersted in the amount of subsribtions clearing in the bank everyday.

I hasten to add that if Zoytser leaves DOAC so will I (Outlaw LVL 50 Theurg) and Theadore (LVL 42 Paladin). So that will be 3 accounts u lose.

I think you'll find that just about everyone has issues with their main characters. Hell I'd give vital parts of my anatomy to be able to respec, especially in light of the changes in 1.51. It's not gonna happen tho. Just learn to get by with the mistakes you made and wait on the respec patch.

@ Zoyster: Actually based on the fact that the details of the 1.48 patch have been available since Jan 2002, because of its existence on the US servers just proves that you've gimped your character even more. Why did you not look this up previously? As stated by your friend Outlaw, the 1.48 patch was available on the US before 1.45 even went retail over here - so more fool you for not researching your options.

@ Outlaw Mythic are the people that change the game mechanics, not Goa. And as for waiting for the respec option, well there are still people on the US waiting for it, so why can't Zoyster? Sure it will take longer, but hey as I said before, try researching first Incorrect respeccing has nothing to do with how much subscription you are paying a month, so I fail to see the issue there

Adds 2 Insta cast DD spells that do 150 Damage every 20secs.
Adds 1.5x spec points and hammer styles
Adds a chant line called something like battlesongs.

@ Outlaw: This effects all of the community on all servers. It's potentially eating up the time that Goa could be spending improving the game for all. Zoyster, I feel sorry for you, I really do. It's always hard to spend so much time levelling an character one way only to realise that it wasn't the best way to go.

One little tip though, if you wanted Kemor to do this for you, you should have kept it a little more quiet, IF he did decide to help you out now, he would have the DAoC community on his back asking for the same, something he doesn't need.

Coming in here calling all these people geeks and crap isn't a good road to travel, take it on the chin and just accept that these people don't know what you are going through.The very best you can do is explain your situation and hope Kemor takes pity on you and realises that this was a mistake that is ruining your enjoyment of the game.

Actual profit after hireing enough employees to keep up with al the respec requests? Probably bankruptcy.

Then they can transfer the serverdatabases to mythic to save us as customers and you'll start whining that Mythic isn't patching fast enough or the stuff you want or that you char is being nerfed or that they won't respec while goa did.

Zoyster, put your firewizard in the fridge till respec is in and lvl up some other char. There must be quests you haven't done or areas you haven't really seen yet to make this interesting. And you get to meet all the new and//or slower players in DaoC who haven't lvled to 45+ yet.
