sorry zeltec i am off for good us server grafics are better and its need to play the same game with lots of people in ac barrows and even find people in mytra again about 300 players all the time online and 1000 in prime time

I was simply pointing out why every letter started with a capitol letter. That it was down to simple forum code that not everyone might know about, that detects someone writing all their stuff in capitols and changes it automatically.

It does that because generally people that feel the need to POST EVERYTHING IN UPPERCASE BECAUSE IT'S REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT, (a) normally are making a fairly poor post, if you can't get your point across with correct grammar, then it's normally a fairly crap point, and (b) because it's much easier to read THAN THIS IS!

If explaining how the forum works makes me look like a twat, then so be it..

I think that when somebody leaves a heartfelt message like 'keep the faith', to then bin them in no uncertain terms for their use of caps is a tad heartless. But in general, I think the fact that every post on FG at the moment descends into a bout of flaming is at best dissapointing, especially when the flaming is basically a heated debate about who has the best or worst grammar.

Trust me, we all suck.

Please, all the professional copyrighters out there - no, but they often suck at the grammys as well - what about the person who can honestly answer me, they have attempted to master, William Strunk Jr's The Elements of Style, or even knows what it is off the top of their head; perhaps you should - maybe - point the finger about elements of grammatical minutae... But! Then again you would not, perhaps because you would either be too polite or realise these boards are not about grammatical precision but about getting your point across, and at any rate grammatical style is open to interpretation - check the book Clockwork Orange.

If you have read Eats, Shoots and (,) Leaves doesn't count as it is too low level basic.

I didn't bin his post for grammar. I binned it for being nothing new to the other 7934723523 posts on here saying exactly the same thing. None of them actually coming up with even the slightest hint of an idea about how to save the server, just yelling "omg save it" over and over again.

I've yet to hear even one slightly sensible suggestion on how to stop the server dying, and unless you can pull 1000 players out of thin air there really isn't one. So until someone decides to spend some time on working out how you pull 1000 people out of thin air, then how the post is treated is largely irrelevant.

Getting into a debate about grammar at least gives people something to talk about, since the actual subject matter has been discussed to death (many many times) already. If nothing else at least it's bumping his post, instead of just letting it drop off the bottom of the page. Maybe we could all just go.. yeah lets save it!!! RRAAAARRH! while sticking our fingers in our ears and closing our eyes.. would that make you happy?
