Islam4UK group that planned Wootton Bassett 'hate march' is banned by Alan Johnson | Mail Online

Now lets hope they bring more laws into effect to tackle extremists, pref ones that'll send them packing out of this country (Which based on the above I can see happening at some point)

The best part "The order will make it a criminal offence to be a member of Islam4UK, punishable by up to 10 years in prison."

Ho ho ho ho. /jabba laugh
Think alot of them are british citizens. :p
And they should do the same for BNP

Slippery slopes, fine for you when it's this issue, might bite your bnum later, presidence etc etc.

Still it's a necessary evil if any to avoid bloodshed.

I'm too hung over to write a coherrent post, so i hope that covers my view on it.

Not really a slippery slope, it's something thats been commonplace with regards to terrorist organisations for a long time. It's deciding who is a terrorist organisation and who isn't that's the dodgy ground. Look at it in some ways and Nelson Mandela was one of the biggest terrorists of the last century but everyone sees him as a hero. NB - not saying he wasn't a hero :p

Right-o, well that's a slippery slpe then :p

And if they ban "terrorist" groups from marching, suddenly 'Kittens Are Fluffy' kindergarden group can't walk to school in groups ;)

Another good example are the rebels in Star Wars, while being fantasy, they were a group like al-qaida.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a communist;

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a trade unionist;

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a Jew;

Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak out.

tbh this is an incredibly harsh blow....for democracy and free speech. also, this is EXACTLY what Islam4UK was hoping for.

I too thinkn its bad to ban a group like this especially under terrorism laws. I have seen no case that they have done anything to cause terrorism. From what the news said the march was to prompt the fact that hundreds / thousdands of Mulsims have died in Afganistan as well as the soldiers.

If they are extremists then sending them underground will only make them more extreme.

Everyone has a right to free speech and like the Jewish quote above I think its bad and could lead to other things.

Only 2 years till 2012 and the time of the next predicted great evil event to shape the world and lots think it will be the spiralling of Muslim vs Christian that affects it.

(if you believe nostrodamus and all that)

Yay, look a victory for idiots and islam4uk. Let's celebrate the erosion of democracy and the freedom it implies.

Anyone with any common sense could have check islam4uk and their leader have a history of saying they are going to do things, just for publicity, or an anti-islamic reaction. They don't actually go ahead and do the protests and marches they say they will.

Once again the anti-power laws are used to take away freedoms.

BloodOmen you live in a weird and crazy world if you believe what you posted here.

lol @ that photo of the muslim cleric with the scary mood lighting making him look like an evil sorceror.

Stupid idea to ban a peaceful march imo.

They could have been a bit more sensitive, but it's not like
they are lying, everything they say is totally true.

We are bringing genocide onto innocent people and for every soldier who dies hundreds of innocent Afghans die, but becuase we don't see those people as important as us we turn a blind eye.
Well it's not really our fault, it's just the media in this country who are utterly
compliant in every level with this big lie fail to show us images of dead foriegners in case we get upset, or see the truth.

Someone comes along to point it out and happens to have a weird beard (which doesn't do them any favours) and we go apeshit.

Of course any group called Islam4uk is destined to fail and so it should , the last thing we need is that medieval bollocks pushed into this secular country.

Millions of brainwashed idiots with a grudge to bear and a belief in an
eternal afterlife is about as dangerous as it gets.

Luckily religion will die out as the clueless slowly die off.

My point is that you seem to lack a grip on reality. Please explain, from your point of view how this is a victory for a free and democratic country?

Progressive British Muslims - concern over Islam4UK grows

I'd like to point everyone who thinks this is a bad idea towards this article, and also say that wishy-washy liberal ideas are almost as bad as wishy-washy right wing ideas. some people need to get a fucking grip.

I agree with banning them; however not giving them free publicity and an easy dig against democracy in the UK. Anjem Choudry got exactly what he wanted.

Meant to imply that they could very well call any group a terrorist group, just if they don't like something they do.

The government should never have faffed around with the idea of banning their protest in the first place. They should have said that as long as it did not pose a threat to public safety that they have a right to voice their opinion. They should have then banned them after the media had moved on. The home secretary gave this story more legs than it should have had.

Fair points. I don't see this as a victory for islam4uk though, it'll all be forgotten about, as will they, in a couple of days imo.

You think the daily fail will let it go? The guy's been doing this for years now, he's good at manipulating public feeling and the media. It would be nice if you were right though.

Its a very bad idea, not only is it against freedom of speech but its exactly what these people want.
