guess this was an easy one ^^

If theres divisions and multiplications in an equation, you just work from left to right though. if multiplications came first in my initial equation, you would have had to multiply first.

another basic math rule ^^

alllllright, lets go with riddles!

Exactly how many slices of 1.5 cm each can you cut from a whole bread which is 22.5 cm long?

1.5cm in which direction? if just length then then 15...... obvoiusly they could be cut in half hieght or width way to create more but as we have no figures for those dimentions then it's impossible to answer :p

Because each slice is 1.5cm and the question was how many slices of that type can you cut *shrug*

heres another riddle, this should be really easy:

A murderer is condemned to death.

He has to choose between three rooms:
1)The first is full of raging fires
2)the second is full of assassins with loaded guns
3)and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years.

so....which room is safest for him?

But he might be at risk of catching something from all the decomposed corpses? :p

I'd go with number 2, assassins don't just kill random people for the sake of it ;)

How many zeros at the end of 129! (i.e. 129x128x...x1)?

I was asked that in an interview once.

that's a logical guess atleast, as just using the last digit its 9x8 which is 72 then 2 x 7 which is 14 then 4 x 6 which is 24 then 4 x5 which is 20 then ah..... hang about....... then its 20 x 24 which is erm lots..... 480? then 80 x 23 and so on so i estimate and extra 0 every 10 so my new answer is 12 0's at the end.

I could take away my original answer but then you wouldn't see my genius mind at work and that is a treat for all

Nope but sort of along the right lines.

at every 5 and 10 you'll get an extra 0 so 25 0's is my new and final guess lol xD

yeah you just take all the 5's out and have an ample supply of 2's to make your 10. But remember 25=5x5, 75 = 5x5x3 etc.

All the combinations I can think of, possibly more:

All the numbers ending in zero:

10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 70, 80, 90 => 8 zeros
110, 120 => 2 zeros
100 => 2 zeros

All the numbers ending in 5 (since when multiplied by an even number they will give you a zero)

5, 15, 35, 45, 55, 65, 85, 95, 105, 115 => 10 zeros

And all the factors of 25

25 x 4 = 100 => 2 zeros
50 x 6 = 300 => 2 zeros
75 x 12 = 900 => 2 zeros
125 x 8 = 1000 => 3 zeros
So it must be at least 31 zeros

Yeah I got there in the end (and got the offer!). I started with smaller numbers and worked my way up to see what was going on.
