Looks like that might be it, although their ADSL Max 8MB service are at £19.99 and £39.99. What router do you use Lester?
I use a zoom X4 and a linksys wireless AP, but the PC I did the test from was rj45'd into the linksys, not wireless. I had 1.5Mb down and 400kbps up a couple of weeks ago.
I think stability is clearly the issue with ADSL max products. If you've got a clean, good quality line close to the exchange it's fine, but if there are any issues whatsoever, the rates are up and down like errr, Trem's boxers on "BumTrem" night (every night except Tuesday's during August and Xmas Day).
I've asked to be reverted to a fixed line product, so we'll see how that goes.
I've recently changed from NTL 10 meg cable to adsl2+ with BeUnlimited.
I have to say I was impressed with the speed that my order was filled, less than 7 days, they keep you informed every step of the way and the equipment they supply for free is excellent and very easy to set up.
I got a Thomson Speedtouch WL780 wireless router which features 2 voip sockets that come with an adapter to plug a normal phone into, 3 10/100 ethernet ports and a tvip port.
I am currently syncing at 18 mbits and speedtests are showing download speeds of 16 mbit, which im very impressed with.
This is costing me £24 a month which is taken quarterly and I had to pay a £24 connection fee.
There are no newsgroups included in that price, or webspace or email addresses, but they can be purchased as an addon for £2 a month.
Support is by an 0808 number or a ticketing system. I haven't tried telephone support yet but my request for information through the ticketing system was answered promptly - far better than my previous adsl provider Freedom2surf.
I ping 18 to servers hosted in Telehouse (I'm in Manchester) which compares well with my cabble ping of 25
