What the fuck is metro sexual about not finding a butchers and vegetarians?

Also Cuntingtons was not mentioning food brands but the rise of supermarkets...

And what the hell is bunny food? Food for bunnies? (what Google seems to suggest: 'BUNNY SAFE FOOD.'

Steak? Not sure about you but I can drive to 3-4 restaurants that serve good old fashioned steak and chips in about 20 minutes max. And I live in one of the most economically deprived part of fuckin Europe.

I don't know about you but nothing has become in any way metro sexual, but rather people are becoming more and more educated about leading healthy life's. Contrary to the belief of some; saturated fat in large amounts is bad; sugar in large amounts is bad; speaking shit in large amounts is bad etc.

Oh you're just being anal then, nevermind.

It's the whole thing that's metro. F*cking kabbala hippie motherf*ckers taking voer the world, bannind smoking and next, meat.

If i could find one in 20 minutes, without any "vegetables"(aka bunny food, use your brain moron) crap shoved in there, i wouldn't complain now would i? You do know about me, as i posted it right f*cking there.

People can get as educated as they wish and act on that, but forcing me to do so is f*cked up.

In any other aspect you'd agree that it's bad, but since it's your lifestyle, you don't you hypocritical f*ck.

but bitching about people not wanting to eat it because of its name, is bollox.

Yeah, learn to read...

Bonus points for winding you up enough to get defensive? I hope so :D

lol @ banning meat. I must say I have gone to a grand total of 'fuck all' restaurants that have displayed the sign 'we shoot pork on sight!'

And now you not after steak (as you originally said) but steak without vegetables? Eh? I'm confused. You are complaining about being served vegetables with steak? Grilled mushroom is a tradition with steak; as is a grilled tomato (atleast I believe it is). The same way chips is acquainted with steak. Vegetables seek to enhance the flavor of meat and compliment it. It's not because the 'vegetables nazi' want to thrust their long hard parsnips down your mouth - albeit you may enjoy it.

The fact of the matter is Mr. Toht you are, as ever, the fuckin minority that the majority learn to put up with (like those really anal vegetarians. The OP is not complaining about being served, heaven forbid, fuckin carrots with his steak, but rather the shift from traditional meals to foreign, more 'nutritional' meals.

And ofcourse no-one is forcing you to do anything; the majority just hope you will not be forced quietly - so we don't have to hear it :D

There's nothing to stop you ordering a steak on its own.

Waitress: Howdy
Customer: I'd like a steak please.
Waitress: Which one, hun ?
Customer: A 16oz rump steak. Medium-rare. Nothing else on the plate. Just a well-seasoned steak on its own. No side orders. No garnishes. Just a steak on its own.
Waitress: Coming right up.

Easy.

It's not though is it?

It's:

Me: I'd like a steak, just a steak.
Waitress: What? Nothing else? *look like i've just killed the headchef...*
Me: Just the steak thank you.
Waitress: Just...a steak? Nothing on side? *...and shat down his throat*
Me: Yup. Just the meat. Nothing more.

And when the steak comes, there's taters(or some other sidedish) and some fancy green stuff on it.

True, it's not "hard" to order something like that, but it's still a f*cking pain to do so, gets harder by the days and the looks are getting really boring.

Come on, there's more veggies in a McD burger then meat...

But the point was more towards, simple fact; it's harder and harder to find meat while green'munchies are dime in a dozen.

traditional meals to foreign, more 'nutritional' meals.

im not sure hes concerned with the nutrition, just that these days its displayed more often.

eggs and beans on wholemeal toast is traditional and is more nutritious than some italian pasta packed to the tits with sugar sauce, zero fibre and very little protein.

maybe where you live is full of twats tohtori. if you want something plain here no one bats an eye lid. even in a mc donalds my mate doesnt like anything except meat and bread, he asks for that and he gets it with no problems. maybe veggies are more available but surely it just gives more choice to people who want them.

Aye it's no problem to me to give peoepl more choice, and yes, maybe i've just met bad cases of "uppity" waiters etc. Just seems everything is going veggie and meat is becoming the next "boohiss" issue to people.

Thing is, if it does, those peopel complain the loudest and get their way.

toh, you tell bugz to use his fucking brain but it obvious you dont.
I said just below where i qoute you that it has nothing to do with foods but everything to do with supermarkeds. the other part is not a response to you. apparently i overestimate you when it comes to reading and understanding text.

/edit
read that you had an anal day, but i still stand by it.

If your passion is "all about the meat" then you need to go to a Gaucho restaurant.

Gaucho - The Finest Argentine Steaks - Restaurants in London and Manchester

There you pay for your steak and side seperately so if its just the meat u want its what u get.
Its expensive tho £36 just for a good sized steak but i gaurantee it will be one of the best you have ever had. I have tried that kobe beef where they massage the cow and give it a bubble bath every day but its got nothing on this place. You need a bundle of money to go there. i paid £47 for my main course last time add the rest and teh drinks and it sums up to a huge amount of big mac's.

No, i told Bugz to learn how to read as your points seemed like a same answer, so i answered. You can correct that ofcourse without insulting, but that would require some common courtesy i guess. Nto to mention your post is uite ironic as you have two wrong points there :D

I was ahving a bad day, Bugz was being anal ;)

And supermarkets may be a reason, but it's not the source of the problem and the reason why steaks are becoming a rarity.

I attacked Bugz back, naturally, in defense and we cleared it between ourselves.

collegien; i wish we had some place like that here.

Aye, like i said, it's probably part of the problem, but the real source is the "vegitation" of the populus :)

Not that there's anything wrong in being a treehugger or a carrtolover, just i wish, note: wish, that it wouldn't' kill the meat.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

waaaay before food became the new black the numbers were decreasing. The real problem is NOT vegetarians not buying meat from te butchers. people who want quality meat goes to a butcher, people who want ordinary meat goes to a supermarked, so if anything i would suspect they had an increase in sales these days because people have become more aware of quality products.

Caps don't make it true.

Supermarkets may have been the downfall of the butchers(and such), but it's not the cause of the problem i've said many times here; and that's the vegitation problem. Which, is what i was saying in the first place where the butcher was simply a sample.

Have to say though, without intensive research into the subject, this is just my opinion and speculation.

…lots of good things…

You are sooooo right. People should take more time preparing their food, but instead they're bitching around how long it takes.

All that ready-made buy is full of useless chemistry to make food taste "better" and when you ask people about herbs, they look at you all confused. Hell ofc, it's all in there already, no need to think about anything.

I swear there is nothing better than a good steak, or potatoes made in a real iron pan without all that Teflon-coated shit.

I don't mind if it's veggie or not, but what really pisses me off is the attitude of wanting everything oh so good and healthy, but then buying it ready-made in some supermarket.

People don't want to live good and healthy, they just want to live easy and quick, while having the illusion of eating healthy stuff.

why is teflon an evil thing?

If you don't pay attention, it brakes easily and once the upper part of the coating is scratched, there is quite unhealthy stuff going into your food.

And: Teflon yields no real advantage. Yes, a lot of people will say "but ohhh, nothing sticks to the pan". Might be true, but that's the same for my forged iron pan. If you use it, nothing will ever stick to it and all you need to clean it is some water without anything else.

There is also some discussion about Teflon causing cancer, which CAN happen at very high temperatures. The point is, if you roast meat in a pan, you can achieve quite high temperatures (in the pan ofc, not the meat itself =) ).

But apart from anything else, it just tastes better when you use a good old forged iron pan =))
