Hi.
Normally I play me merc, thuerg or infi and tend to have fun. Don't run in zergs, dont whine when I'm zerged. Not overly pissed off at stealth zergs. Kinda except the game can be played in many forms and my one point of view isn't right nor wrong. If I don't like one of the above, I go else where.
However tonight I played my scout for an hour and a few things surprised me. Made me realise that is daoc changing for the worse? I've played since beta and find that the game has far more 'personalities' shall we say. Anyhows . . .
1. I unstealth a hunter, slam him and begin to RF him. A theurg joins in (not bothered tbh) and I get killing blow. Thuerg shouts at me 'fuc***g zerging scout'. Needless to say I was quite taken aback by that.
2. With another scout and have a scrap with 2 ns. They kill one of us and I kill one of them. Now the RR5 ns starts to chew through me. A ministrel watches for 10s and seeing me on 3% and ns on 25%, waits for ns to kill me then kills ns for max rp's. Are albs now to frightened to help a losing alb?
Seems to me that people are becoming rp horny and more interested in individual gain over a realms. I know some people wont 'add' on a fight but where do you draw a line? Do you let to stealthers go at, or 2 casters and kill the winner? Or do you assist to save your realm?
So what do people think? Its a fine line between wanting solo one on ones and zerging. I understand that but has it gone to far? At which point, if any, do you help realmies?
Opinions gratefully apprecited.
Cya out there!
