Hasn't people been taking it a bit too far? Nowadays, everybody fits the profile of the modern definition of a "racist" in one way or another (even the muslims, blacks and the jews! *gasp*).

We're all diffrent, it's extremely f'ed up if people try to act like we're not so they won't offend anyone.

My definition of racism is to dislike or hate somebody strictly because he is of another colour or religion. Criticism is not racism though.

Sounds like you mean should you generalize? Racism is exactly that I suppose. As far as I am concerned we are all individuals. Doesn't mean I don't dislike certain people and their ways of thinking though. I fecking hate aggressive thickos be they in a damn robe or stark naked. So when I put it like that I suppose I am as bad as any other. We probably all harbour a dislike of a certain type of people. Could well be in our genes else why is it so easy to rile people up about it?

I know this is going off the point a bit but my damn cat hates other cats that is for sure. Won't allow any into his territory unless they can beat him in a fight. Basically I think we men are all like this and only the need to cohabitate with so many others has made us forcibly civilized, else we would kick the bejusus out of anyone that dared show his or her face in our neighbourhood. Underneath the surface is this dislike of anyone appearing new or different. I hate my neighbour come to think of it. I could easily tar my neighbours friends with the same brush but I try not to. Where does it all end if you let it get a grip on you?

It's about NOT judging someone on same scale, or thinking someone is cool, because they are black/asian/etc and is that racism.

Well, if their skin colour makes you think differently of them, either positively or negatively, then it is racism.

Racism is usually a negative, but it is still racism even if it is favourable/positive.

Yeah that's what i thought too, that it is racial "profiling" as such, in your own mind. But, we all think racist things, i think racism is bad only if you act on those thoughts, by saying or doing.

Reason positive racism is bad however, is in situations where you let the positive racism give an advantage to whoever you have it for compared to someone else.

Yeah it does. Basically "Let's hire this black guy 'cause he's black" etc.

i think the "thinking of race" is natural though, as we're still basically "tribe" people. Anyone "outside our tribe" will raise alarm bells in ones mind, but we've learned not to spear them right away
