I agree in many ways - Israel is a disgusting inherently racist state caused, at it's very roots, by it's non-secular religious foundation - i.e. Zionism. That, in combination with being surrounded by Islamist states, is a fucking tinderbox.

However, make no mistake, Iran is a tyrannical Islamist caliphate. Islam is inherently jihadist - not just exclusionary and supremacist like Judaeism, but has the export of godly-sanctioned violence sown into it's very foundation and it's religious practice. Even seemingly peaceful mass participation is thinly veiled and very powerful symbolism of it's violent military bent - and a warning to the world to submit to it's will.

Iran and Islam itself is not as militarily aggressive on the scale that Israel is right now. But it a) doesn't need to be and b) doesn't currently have the capacity. But it's fighting very very hard to capture intellectual space, successfullly (and we're fucking letting it).

It's inherently dispicably violent and despotic and Iran absolutely sits on the wrong side of that line.

One set is bombing and beheading and stabbing westerners at a high rate and the other is represented in UK politics at about ten times the rate they're represented in the UK population, but aren't bombing us.

I mean, it's effectively impossible for the UK to take an anti-israel stance, so we protect them from their war crimes, but they're not actively killing us.

I do wonder how the boob whisperer and his party can marry kosher animal slaughter and animal rights. But there doesn't seem to be a break on stark hypocricy in the pursuit of power.

I'd wager more people died in the bombing of Iran over the past couple of weeks than all the Islamist terrorist attacks.

I'd have more sympathy for this line of argument if we were talking about the amount of other innocent Muslims that have been killed by Iran, but something about hypocrisy or something.

I think in summary, Bin Laden clearly wanted to create division and conflict between the West and the middle east, we complied.

People are cheering Iran on not because of the regime but because of what the USA and Israel are doing to Iranian citizens, which is also ironic given what the regime do to Iranian citizens
