Not only have they lost their "visionary" but they are losing ground fast in smartphone sales and their silly lawsuits aren't really slowing their competition down. Do not agree with this. Look at HTC and Android if you want the latest phone you upgrade every 6 months. Same with Samsung. Apple releasing once a year has always been a plus point in my eyes. Get your contract for 12 months and by the time it runs out there is a new device.

TBH the inclusion of a IR port and a universal remote app on the Sony was fucking genius and that's why its the top dog. The next version of every other tablet will copy that.

Yeah there are worse companies.. but Apple are the worst by far, they charge what £400 brand new every year for the iPad? iPad1 to iPad2 was barely an upgrade... not enough to warrant a £400 price tag anyway.. or even £200 tbh...

They have so many die hard fans it's ridiculous, they literally buy everything to do with Apple the second it's released and really believe it's the best available.. same type of people who think the more expensive something is the better it is.. right in some cases but not in this case.

no one forced ipad users to upgrade to ipad 2 .. infact a lot i know waiting for ipad 3 so that will be a 24 month turn around .. its personal choice they just offering you a device if you want to .. ipad one still does what it needs to without cameras basically.

iPad to iPad 2 added a dual core and better screen (perceived by reviews, better add that before getting jumped on), what are the second generation of Android tabs adding. Also until about a week before the iPad 2 came out you could get £300 back on ebay. Apple shit hold its value better than any other tech.

No, If your friends bought the iPad1 in 2010 april ish (around release) for £400 (thats around the price I think..).. then buys the iPad3 Feb/March 2012 thats £800 spent in 2 years..... puppet

Didn't quite understand that... but yeah if you are really looking in to getting a tablet at the moment that asus one is amazing and will mostly likely blow the iPad3 out the water.... it's £430~ brand new on Ebay as well.

I don't like the asus, or any other Android tablet I've used. They all still feel a bit laggy, unpolished and lack the slickness that Apple do so well. They also feel cheap.

The only tablet other than the iPad that caught my eye was the Sony.

Keitanz have you tried, not for 5 minutes but tried properly an iPad and an Android tab? A fair few guys in work who are massively anti apple have changed there mind since being given one in work. I am similar i hate the cocky adverts but the devices and OS are solid.

I am going to give up defending them now but if the3 comes out with an IR sender and a screen option between 7 and 8 inches I will buy it.
