I just drove home using Maps and i did not end up in the sea but it is still fairly naff. It is like being on your driving test as in assume straight if it says nothing. A few roundabouts and roads that split left ect show up but offer no instructions, hence go straight if you are not told any different. Good points are spoken road names and very clear accurate imaged of the roundabout so you know which lane you need. I will stick with Co Pilot for now.

Trying to update iTunes, as now my iPhone and iPad are runing iOS6 bloody iTunes wont see them. I need to install version 10.7, i currently have 10.5.

When i do the update it almost gets to the end and then this pops up



I point it to the folder with 'iTunes64' but it just keeps putting this up

I have tried uninstalling iTunes and it wont let me do that either, as it says the unistall file doesn't exist??

Anybody else finding Siri a bit hit and miss? It is miles better at understanding me. But sometimes it just times out. I am wondering if all the new devices with Siri are overloading the Siri servers?

re-download the software and run it off your desktop. You can do it Barry!

Ha ha, won't let me download off apple site, it says it needs to uninstall previous version first, but something is stopping it

It's probably using apple maps to try and find your install folders.

Is that with or without the apple software updater? If it's without, try that as although a hateful piece of shit it never seems to launch the installer front of house but just does everything.

nope, it still says the older version could not be removed, it wont install the newer one without deleting the older one first

iOS6 has broken Air Play to my Apple TV now unless it is my Picture or Video or in Safari I can only send audio up to the Apple TV. That is a fucking piss take no more watching SkyGo on my TV via the iPad. I hope it gets fixed but as Videos I take myself work fine I think they will announce it is working as intended.

Was hilarious as hell the other day in the pub with this guy going on an on about how great siri is now, yet all his examples failed.

Voice control for phones is still a long way from being faster and more intuitive than simply using the touch interface.

When Siri works it is great and for texting in the car it is brilliant. But it appears it does most of the work off the phone so when you have no signal or the server is busy it just times out.

There's a bug with Siri, I managed to fix the "sitting there doing nothing" issue which involves turning off siri, resetting network settings and turning siri back on.

That fixed it.

Still shite though.
