England with held the multiple bombings because we gave them the equipment, and troops to do so.

LOL - Lets all hide under this blanket to protect ourselves from the falling bombs ;)

If the UN doesnt want to back us, then fuck the UN. We should pull out...hell we do all the work anyways!

But there is enough power between US, England, Spain, Canada, India and south america, that we can handle this situation by ourselves! WE DONT NEED THE UN IF ITS NOT GOING TO DO A JOB FOR WHICH IT WAS CREATED!!!!

typical american gung ho mentality.

did you see the article in the sunday mirror about training the yanks not to commit friendly fire? an ex SAS captain said that most of the lads he knew were more afraid of the yanks than of the iraquis

These people have more weapons of mass destruction in their back garden than Saddam has in his entire arsenal. Who does the world worry most about?

Yeah im guilty of judging ever single american because of how i see some of them. Its mainly the stupid moronic drivle they come out with.

I went to Mexico during spring break last year and the place was packed with the old American chumps. I have to say they really are quite annoying :)

You can't really judge them because of what they post on a forum. I mean, fs, if you did that ....oh.

I talked with some friends of my parents recently over from the states. Quite well educated, one was an airline pilot, but what amazed me was their total lack or should I really say ignorance of world politics.

Only read the first page but they weren't that far from the truth. The western front in WW2 was knackered until Japan bombed Pearl Harbour and brought the USA into the war. The UK could not have done D-Day without the Yanks. Also they were sending us tons of aid before they entered the war properly.

France hate the UK and the US because they are too proud (or arrogant) to like a country they should feel gratitude towards.

All the countries who are going to vote against the next resolution voted for resolution 1441 which demanded that Saddam disarmed. Why bother if they aren't going to back up their words with action. Surely they didn't think that their demands would only be backed up by cessation of chocolate rations. Russia wants dollars because of all the money it's put into Iraq. France wants to look important. Gerhard Schroeder is playing a popularity contest with his people.

Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I think that war is a great idea but the reasons they are giving aren't ALL utter shit. I don't know why so many of you love to take the piss out of yanks. The French are at least as good a target.

Go read Blix's latest report. The only things the Iraqis have against them are:
1 - They didn't start complying imediately(they are now).
2 - They're not letting scientists be interviewed outside of the country(yet?).

Iraq is complying on every issue apart from the scientists thing. There is no need to invade Iraq, because they are basically complying with the existing resolution. Fyi Wij, France would support a 2nd resolution if it didn't give the automatic right to invade.

Most of the countries planning to veto(all 3 of them) do have some motives of their own, but no more than the US. Overall, there is no case to invade, so to slag off the French for not supporting war, with the justification of the WW2 thing(something Americans are very arrogant over), is ludicrous.

The Iraqi government has failed to account for the chemical weapons it had/has. It has not been able to offer any proof that they were destroyed (their existence at some time is beyond doubt). Therefore, the country is in breach of UN resolutions.

I don't really care about the reasons given, you have to consider the end result of removing Saddam Hussein from power. Would Iraq really be a worse place to live? It has the mineral wealth to be a very very rich country, and hopefully if democracy is installed, a much more humane country than Saudi Arabia.

The ironic thing is that if, in the 1st Gulf war, Saddam had pulled his troops back from the capital, and just occupied the northern oilfields, there would very likely not have been a war in the first place, and he could have kept the annexed territory.

But the americans did nothing to defend shipping in the atlantic. People on the american coast could see ships ablaze, sinking etc. just off the coast as a german wolf pack sat there.

and the US knew

and diddnt do anything.

I never said that their arguments were a definate clincher for war. Just that they weren't completely ignorant of the facts. The USA has bailed us out of two world wars and they, rightly or wrongly, think we should be a little more grateful. Naive perhaps but not made up bollocks.

Wrong.

Blix's report states that in December Iraq submitted a “currently accurate, full and complete declaration of all aspects of its programmes to develop chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, and other delivery systems”.

Get your facts right matey, as you're currently just repeating lies that you've heard the US come up with  Iraq is not breaching the resolution - Therefore, there is no legal basis for an invasion.

Fuck the damn Brits and anyone else that has some damn issues with or fucking government. Take the sticks out of your asses and realize that we saved your damn ass in two fucking world wars, and all we are asking now is that you support us and help rally support as we go after Sadam. We aren't asking for you to fight the war with us, US can handle Iraq on our own and even Sadam realizes that, he is buying his time to try to get the world to turn on us, and its basically working.

This man has a couple of interesting points, clouded by a sheer cringe worthy quantity of stereotypically American statements.
