Not relevant to this topic.. but anyway as you dont seem to know.... it was given to infs to help bring them inline with SBs who at the time could PA with 2h weapon had higher hp, think there is another reason also.. maybe lower weapon skill? not sure :<

Such a old argument "oh what about 2.5 spec points" but if you take away the 9sec stun and just have 5sec i think its more than valid now than ever before to have 2.5 as most inf's will need it

GG Mythic... first nerf SBs, then nerf NS to hell in frontiers, and when they lower the stun by a few seconds on one style in one of the infiltrator's specline, infils whine so much that Mythic feels compelled to give them a free respec AND envenom crossbows... rofl! Why not allow SBs to envenom their throwing weapons? Or give NS a castable DoT? This is getting silly... and please no-one say "someone was owned" as I personally don't have trouble with solo infils... but I think SBs and NS might be more than a little displeased at this latest turn of events.

Alternatively, get rid of Albion and Hibernia altogether, and force everyone to play as Midguard A, Midguard B or Midguard C. That'd be balalnced and then all the realm balance whiners would finally HAVE to shut the fuck up.

Typical answer from your typical infil kid. I think you misunderstood the part when I said it doesn't affect me personally as I don't have a problem taking on infiltrators however, just about every other class in the game does, thanks to Mythic's bizarre logic. Think about this carefully... a few seconds off ONE style in ONE specline, and infiltrators are offered a respec. If you spec a specline just for one style you're a bit of a muppet anyway, or perhaps just a 1337 one button for teh win kid like most infils....

As for the crossbow... use what little intelligence you have, an infiltrator could snare half a group whilst he (buffed, of course, they always are) takes out the casters, or dot from range to leech rps etc.. so many uses, and none of them good.

And if you don't think infils are overpowered then you're mistaken, no assasin should be able to take on a tank one on one. Yet I know that if an infil pops I've got such a small chance to win it's scary. And yes thanes are hybrids, but even so they are a great 1 on 1 tanking class. The nerf to DF will help (although a nerf to runthrough/face tactics would be nice too as 1/2 the slealthers I meet use this tactic to make me miss...)

Welcome to the world of generally overpowered stealthers. I play a Paladin - on paper one of the most survivable classes in the game. Things should bounce off me for the most part and yet I still get taken to pieces (often before the CD stun has worn off) by SBs and NSs.

too much annoying random factors in this game to be based purely on skill, it will always be a yathzee hybrid

btw if one mid group is 3 savage, 3 haeler, 1 shaman 1 skald and the other has a rm and thane in the group then the first group will still win because they are the devs lovechild classes... give everyone a fixed spec and fixed group setup aswell then

Mythics policy is "if we nerf a specline, you get a respec" - it's in one of the grabbags. Heh, looks like infs got nerfed and got a respec.

I think a 44% nerf in thrusts only good thrust style counts as a big enough nerf. I do hope they also give a respec to Scouts and Mercs as well though who, although not to the same extent, do use the style.

few seconds??? from 9 to 5 is near 50% it would be the same if mytich decide savage only should be able to DW and 4x hit .
and yes most ppl actully spec in 1 spec line just to get 1 single style all sword warriors spec sword coz of ragnarok ;D etc.

Giving infs the ability to snare from range is one of the dumbest ideas in DAoC ever. What next? Archers getting the ability to apply unbreakable snare poison to arrows too?

Hope Mythic has the sense to remove this before the patch goes live.

Oh, and give the respec to Mercs and Scouts too. Probably not as many 50 thrust mercs or scouts as infs but not all infs are thrust spec, so do they get a respec too?

OKAY M8S stop using that and that style now cause its considered to good to be used. its spammed to. SPAMMED I tell you. its a anytimer to it is really m8s. u cant use a style more than once in a fight else its considered spamming so your end up using wrong styles in the end OOOOKAYYYY.

yes they DID get a single line respec, but that didnt help the SB's in any major degree as they didnt get a RA respec and still had their DR realm abilitys and everything that was for dual wielders that they couldent specc our from (and no AFAIK respec stones wasent in the game at that time, could be wrong tho) .... so yes they had a right to whine..... i think

the LA nerf was in august 2003 so yea respec was a bug part of the game

Well atleast the peopel playing the thane and rm HAD the choice to play the other classes , and not some watered down version because they where in the wrong realm.......
