Do you just need high traffic hosting to host the forum or are you looking to keep the forum right here on this host? If the former I have hosting coming out of my *insert Wij line here*.

Come on Deebs m8. You out on an all-weekend bender? :)

If FH goes I may have to give up the internet altogether :(

Why can't money solve this?

Don't we live in a capitalist society?

My company resell hosting but I doubt it is much cheaper than you can get it for yourself. But I don't mind asking. I can also contribute to costs.

Happy to pay as required - presumably as things get mapped from ipv4 onto ipv6 they get assigned a new range rather than disappearing altogether?

From what I've been led to understand, its not as straightforward as that, which is why only about 1% of the internet has made the switch

I'm confused normally ip addresses are connected to a broadband service like an ADSL service or a les line. The hosting just points at the IP address of the service... Unless FH is on a hosted server and that package is going? I personally have never heard of RIPE taking back IP addresses as eventually we will migrate to IPv6 however at present there is still plenty of IPv4 we are still selling them left right and center although now you have to justify to RIPE why you wish to have multiple IPv4 with a single service...

I think the crux here as many have stated more info is needed. I might have an ace in my pocket depending on the requirement of what is actually needed.

If the IP addresses were leased to the hosting company rather than sold they could be getting recalled. And the host are just closing rather than sourcing new addresses.
