I cant beleive every class i make turns to ratshit, im at 38 with a supp runie now how long till these guys get screwed over.

yup... I was shooting at a nightshade that was attacking a caster... while he was in range I missed twice and fumbled, and he escaped ;\

the most annoying thing is when you get a slam off on an sb... perform crit shot and fumble. And its not like its easy to get a slam off on these uber buffed sbs.

slam... evade... slam... evade... slam... evade... out of end... dead

I actually felt almost sorry for a scout a few days back, I jumped an inf at Odins MG and came out with 25% health. As I dropped from the steps he popped me with a CS and I was down to 5%ish, knew I couldn't run so I headed towards him at my heavily reduced run speed. 3 missed shots later I was on him, and luck would have it I evaded just as I went into combat, Comeback,FG,2 more Comebacks he was dead.

Much as it gives a buzz to live through that it really shouldn't be possible to happen with even cons.

I took my mentalist out for the first time in real RvR last night with a group of level 50's and my mate chanter.

We where stood around just discussing what to do near Albion MG in Odins and I see a little kobold archer dressed in black getting ready to shoot at us. Now being level 37 I was quite worried at this level 50 aiming in my general direction. Luckily (or not) he was aiming for my chanter mate (level 39) but we had Warden PBT so he missed his first shot thankfully.

I run up and cast my spanking new baseline 8 second stun (Sorry, just showing off ) and he gets jumped by rest of group whilst I blast (Not for much, I still only ickle) Archer dead.

It made me sad that Mythic have made it so a level 50 archer can't kill a level 39 cloth wearer but a level 37 cloth wearer can stun a level 50 archer for nearly 8 seconds.

It also made me happy because thanks to this archer dude, I can now get wild arcana II.

Oh and I also succesfully DoT'd and landed the killing shot on svartalf which was pretty cool as well. I think it was him anyway, not quite sure. Was near Hibernia MG.

Shooting grouped hibbies sux hard.

Remember a group vs group encounter at mmg emain. I imediately targeted a caster. Fired 5-6 arrows before I died and got 1 hit with my fastest bow. Having your primary attack method as good as nullified.
Those sort of extreme encounters only happens vs hibs.

Dunno much about hibs but I assume different hib pbt classes stacks with each other?

there is only 1 hib pbt class, wardens, and since pbt is about all most of em can do, they all get the 6 sec version of it..

pbt is a pain for me as well.. as a warrior using my cleaver 4spd.. i could never bloody hit hibs when they had stacked pbt.. but thankfully my sanity was saved in 1.54 when mid finally got a decent lvl 51 weapon that was fast.. 2.9spd weighted bearded axe.. not had a problem with pbt since then still miss the odd hit or 2 but atleast i land a few now instead of none at all.

They get screwed over in 1.54+

Never played an archer above 15 but miss/fumble ratio seems totally fubar, I know its hell for casters but its also hell for archers when it doesn't only happen on casters.

On a side note: Does arrows have any bonus to hit, I don't think so. I think its like trying to melee without styles.

Chances are when you attempt to use slam you have just been pa'ed anyway.

Ever tryed getting behind someone in mid fight and on half HP , if only it was that easy.

And as for the miss/fumble rate yea it really sux at the moment but when you pull of a "you shoot ..... for 1074 damage. you just killed ...... on a level 50 caster kinda makes you carry on trying.

... until you realize that the caster AF bug is no more. Hitting a lvl 50 for your damage cap??? Thats a fairytale from the old times.

Edit: Just noticed that you are RR6. With enough augmented dexerity it's prolly possible to do but the average archer is not RR6.

Aug dex3 / 50+16 longbow and a nice 100% qual heavy duskwood longbow helps

But only ever happens once in a blue moon,so casters need not fear to much and alot depends on resists etc anyway.

yeah i one shot people before my caps only 907. but to see it is a really really nice thing id dig up the screenshot makes me feel warm inside now.

anyway sort it out in patch 1.61!

In this patch they raised fumble to 17% and miss to 22% (yes you read correct )
and raised drawtime with 0.1 sec too.
In next patch they will lower fumble and miss (thankgod)

22% miss
17% fumble
6s bt = 1/2 miss
blocked arrows
evaded arrows
capped melee resists

This patch is insane, makes me nuts sometimes
Anyway,i've never seen a class do more dmg then me, doing 10xx dmg and 1 shot kill casters is still fun
